Booked the Dover to Calais crossing again this year, same as the last six summers. Checking in was quick on the app and the boarding pass came through straight away. Never had a problem with them.

Compared a few crossing sites before picking this one and it came out cheaper than the big names for the same sailing. The booking page was a bit fiddly to get through with the kids' ages, took me a couple of tries. Otherwise the crossing was fine and the ship was on time.

Been using them for years and they are still our first port of call for the crossing. Booking page could be a bit fiddlier on the phone than it used to be, but the sailing itself is always spot on.

Compared a few operators before booking the Hull to Rotterdam overnight sailing and this seemed the best value. The cabin was smaller than the photos suggested and the bed was narrow. Our sailing left about four hours late with no clear update until we were already at the terminal. Getting a reply to my complaint took over a week. Not what I expected for the money.

We used to take the Eurotunnel but this was usually cheaper for a day trip to Calais with the car. The booking was simple enough and the crossing time was about what they said. The only thing is the check in opens quite late on the day and the car lanes can get busy. Still, we will keep using them.

We needed to move our crossing a few days later because of work, so I had to change the booking. The change went through online but the new confirmation took two days to arrive, and I rang them twice before it showed up. The new sailing itself was fine. Fair enough, but it was a bit of a faff.

We needed a reserved car space for the Portsmouth route because we were taking the dog and wanted a spot near the lift. Looked at three operators and this was the only one that let me pick the deck on the booking screen. Sorted it in about ten minutes on my phone.

This is the one we always go with for the Newhaven to Dieppe run. Booked the cabin for the overnight sailing and the staff sorted a quiet room when we asked. We have been using them for years and the crew are always helpful.

First thing I noticed was the price breakdown showed everything up front, no nasty extras added at the final page. I'd never used a ferry booking site before so I was nervous, but the steps were clear and the confirmation landed in my inbox within a minute. We're going over to Calais for a long weekend and the whole thing took maybe ten minutes on my phone while the kettle boiled. Nothing has been a faff so far.
