the band in the basement

The band in the basement is the bit I keep thinking about, the room is small and the sax player was practically in our laps. We've been coming to these nights on and off for years and this is still the best one. The staff remembered us from last time which was nice. Booking was easy and the reminder emails arrived on time too.

grabbed tickets on a whim

Grabbed two tickets for the Saturday late show on my phone during my lunch break. Easy to book, the confirmation came straight away and the band was really good once they got going. Would go again with my mates.

third time booking the late show

We've booked the late show three times now, always the same two tickets for the Friday night. This time I picked the standard seats again and they were fine, same as before. The check in was quicker than last year, which I appreciated. The confirmation email came through a bit late the first time round, but it's been spot on since. We keep coming back because it's the one night out we both look forward to.

Not quite the night I expected

Having been to a few of these over the years, I expected the usual format, but this one felt more like a dinner show with the music in the background. The booking itself went smoothly as it always does, and the tickets arrived without delay. The room was crowded and the service at the tables was slow, with our drinks taking nearly half an hour. Compared with the jazz clubs I used to go to, it's a bit less intimate.

Needed a night off

Needed something to do on my night off after a rough week at work, and a mate sent me the link. Booked it from my phone on the train, took about a minute. The band was decent but the seats were uncomfortable and the queue at the bar was a nightmare. Fine for a one off but not sure I'd rush back.

Nicer than the usual pub quiz

Way better than the pub quiz we normally do on a Thursday, to be fair. Booking was a bit slow because the site kept timing out on my phone, but once it was done it was all fine. The band was really good and the room felt alive.

Worth every penny

Honestly one of the better nights we have had in London in ages. Booking took two minutes, the evening was well organised and the music was great from start to finish. Would book again without a second thought.

Fine but not great

Honestly it was alright, nothing special. The booking was easy but the confirmation took ages to arrive and I had to message them twice. The night itself was fun for an hour or so but the set went on a bit long and the room got stuffy. I'd maybe try something else next time.

Decent value for the money

Booked two standard tickets for the early Friday show through the site, which took about five minutes. The drinks were a bit steep once we were inside, but the ticket price itself was fair for what you get, two sets with a proper band. Staff were friendly when we turned up and the room was easy to find from the station. Not a bad way to spend a Friday evening.

a lovely evening for a birthday

We were looking for an outing to mark my husband's seventieth birthday and a friend recommended this jazz experience. I'm glad we went as the evening was thoughtfully arranged and the musicians were excellent. Ordering through the website was simple and I received clear instructions beforehand. We would be delighted to return.

proper jazz club feel

I've been to a fair few jazz clubs in London and this one gets the room right, low lights and the band close enough to hear the drummer breathe. The set list leaned a bit more towards standards than I'd hoped but the playing was tight throughout.

Better than a tour bus

Compared with the usual city tour bus we'd have otherwise booked, this felt far more like an actual night out. The booking was quick and the evening itself was well run. Really enjoyed it.

Better than the other options

Looked at a couple of other jazz nights in town before picking this one, and they were mostly dinner-first with the music as an afterthought. This one is more about the band. Tickets came through by email quickly, though I had to hunt for the confirmation in spam at first.

Good value for a night out

Good value for a night out, which is what I was after. Booked online and paid the same as the other options I checked, and the evening itself was well run with no hidden extras. Nothing to complain about.

Needed a quiet evening out

My husband had been poorly and I needed a proper evening out that wasn't too taxing. A friend suggested this and I'm glad we went. The evening ran smoothly and the staff were patient with us. The only thing was the cloakroom queue at the end, which took a while, but I suppose that's to be expected on a busy night.

Two tickets for the jazz night

Bought two tickets for the jazz night last Friday through the site. Checkout took about a minute and the confirmation email came straight away with the details. Got there easily, the room was buzzing and the band was tight. Would go again, cheers.

Booked for my sister's birthday

We needed something a bit different for my sister's birthday and her husband suggested this jazz thing in New York style, so I went looking. Booking was easy enough on the site and the tickets came through quickly. Found the venue without any bother and it was a good night out, a bit pricey for what it is but we had a lovely time.

the late slot was the best bit

The late slot is the best bit, the band gets properly going after eleven. Booking was dead easy on the app and the tickets showed up straight away. Only niggle is the entrance is a bit hard to find down the side street.

Way better than a cinema trip

Compared to going to the cinema with my mates, this was miles more fun. Got the tickets on my phone in about two minutes and the whole thing felt like a proper gig. Drinks were a bit pricey but the band was class.

Seating was a letdown

I wanted to share my experience with the seating arrangements, which turned out to be rather more cramped than the photographs on the site suggested. The booking itself went smoothly and the music was of a good standard. Staff were helpful when I raised the matter, though I did feel the price was on the high side for what we received. I would think carefully before booking again.

About 58th Street Immersive New York Jazz Experience Tickets by The Lost Estate | London

58th Street Immersive New York Jazz Experience is a live theatrical production by The Lost Estate, a London-based company that creates immersive entertainment. The show places audiences inside a recreated 1950s New York jazz club on 58th Street, where performers and the room itself carry the story rather than a conventional stage set.

Tickets are sold for the performance venue in London and the experience is aimed at theatre-goers, visitors to the city and groups looking for a night out. Those attending are invited to take part in the atmosphere rather than watch from a distance, which is central to how the production is staged.

The Lost Estate is known for site-specific and immersive work that treats the audience as participants, and this production follows that approach through its period detail and live jazz. Bookings are made online through the company's ticketing channels, and guests receive information ahead of the visit so they know what to expect on arrival.
