Still our go to for the channel

Been using them for years and they are still our first port of call for the crossing. Booking page could be a bit fiddlier on the phone than it used to be, but the sailing itself is always spot on.

usually cheaper than the tunnel

We used to take the Eurotunnel but this was usually cheaper for a day trip to Calais with the car. The booking was simple enough and the crossing time was about what they said. The only thing is the check in opens quite late on the day and the car lanes can get busy. Still, we will keep using them.

About Condor

Condor is a ferry operator that runs passenger and vehicle services between the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands, with routes linking Poole, Portsmouth and Weymouth to the islands and to the French port of St Malo. The company carries foot passengers, drivers and their cars, motorcycles and campervans, and it is known for its overnight sailings and its fast passenger services on the Channel Islands routes. Customers include holidaymakers taking a short break or a longer trip, islanders travelling for work or family, and visitors combining a sailing with a road trip through France.

Bookings are made online through the company's website, where travellers choose sailing times, cabins and vehicle space before paying. Condor also offers on-board facilities such as seating classes, food and drink, and cabins on longer crossings, which passengers can select when they book.
