Rota changes with short notice

Had a carer lined up for my dad's Tuesday mornings and the office rang me to say the regular carer was off sick, which was a bit of a shock, but they found someone else within the hour. The new carer was lovely and knew what she was doing. The only niggle is I had to chase the rota change by email as the app didn't update, so I spent a while checking my phone.

booked it for my nan

Needed someone to pop in for my nan when mum couldn't. Booked it on the app in like five minutes and the carer came the next day. Nan likes her and she's been on time every time.

Better value than the agency

We had been using a local agency for my husband's care and the price kept creeping up. Switched to PrimeCarers and the rate works out noticeably cheaper per visit, with no minimum booking that we were stuck with before. The carers have been consistent, same two faces most weeks, which matters a lot to us. Sign up was simple and they sorted the paperwork without making us chase it. Good value and it has been reliable for us.

compared with the council option

We looked at the council home care first, but the waiting list was months and the visits were rushed. PrimeCarers could start within the fortnight and the visits are a proper length. I have worked in nursing so I know what decent care looks like and this meets it. The carers communicate well with the family and the notes are clear.

Sorted out respite care

We needed a few days of respite care for my wife so I could get away. I booked the stay through the site and knew exactly what the carer would be doing each day. The care plan they wrote up beforehand was thorough and the carer followed it closely. She sent updates by text each evening which put my mind at rest.

Needed a carer quick

Needed someone for my mum at short notice after she came out of hospital and I was going mad trying to cover the shifts myself. Booked through the site on my phone during my lunch break and they had someone lined up within two days. Carer turned up on time and mum liked her. Only quibble is the booking form asked the same questions twice.

Would book again

Really pleased with the carer they sent for my dad. Booking was quick on my phone during a break and the confirmation came straight through. Visits have been on time and he is happy with her. Nothing to complain about so far.

Booked a home visit carer

I booked a carer for an evening visit to help my nan get ready for bed, never done anything like this before so was a bit nervous. The booking was clear and they confirmed by text straight away. The carer was patient with her and wrote notes at the end. Felt like a fair price for what we got.

Tried a few before picking them

Compared three agencies near us and PrimeCarers was the only one that gave a straight answer on what the visits would cost. The others wanted to call back and never did. Booked a weekday visit for my mum and the carer arrived as planned. Nothing special but it did the job.

Took ages to get a reply

Booked a carer for my gran on the site and the confirmation email took two days to arrive. I was on my phone between jobs and kept checking, had to ring them in the end. Once the carer came it was fine, she was lovely with gran and on time. Just a bit slow at the start.

Better than the last company

Used a different care firm before and the carers kept changing, so I wanted something more consistent for my nan. This one has been far better, the same carer comes most days and she knows nan's routine. Sign up was a bit longer than I expected because they needed lots of documents. Happy so far.

a good service on the whole

I did want to say that the booking for my sister's care was handled with real courtesy by the office staff. The carer assigned to her is knowledgeable and kind, and she has been most attentive to her medication schedule. The invoice did arrive a little later than I would have liked, which was a small irritation. Otherwise I am content with the arrangement.

First time using a care company

We needed a carer after my dad had a fall and we had no idea where to start. The sign up took about a week, with a few calls back and forth to get the assessment booked. Once the carer started things settled down and she is kind to him. The first two visits ran late which was a bit stressful. It is working now but the start was rough.

Carer arrived early

The carer arrived twenty minutes early which I didn't expect at all. Sorted the visit through the app in about five minutes. Mum was happy with her and that's what counts. Would use again.

Good service, a little pricey

On balance I am pleased with the care they have provided for my wife these past months. The carers are courteous, punctual and clearly trained. The fees are a little higher than the council's own provision, though I do understand why. The office was slow to answer the phone at first but they have improved since. I would have no hesitation in continuing.

exactly what we needed

Best decision we made for dad this year, the carer is excellent and he looks forward to her visits. Booking through the app was quick between meetings and the reminders were useful. The carer arrives on time and writes proper notes. Very happy with them.

Live in care for my mother

We booked live in care for my mother who has dementia and I know the field fairly well from my old job. The matching process was thorough and the carer they chose has the right experience for memory care. The rota was clear and handover notes were detailed. The only issue was a week where the cover arrived a day late, which they apologised for and sorted.

a carer for my late wife's mother

Following a bereavement in the family I needed reliable support for my mother-in-law who lives alone and is frail. The team were patient with the enquiry and took time to understand her needs. The carer assigned has been gentle and attentive. Arrangements have run smoothly since the first week.

Fair price for the visits

The price per visit was a bit lower than the agency we had been paying, which is what made me switch in the first place. I like being able to see what each visit costs before I agree to anything. Sign up took a while because they wanted copies of a few documents for mum's file, and I had to dig those out. Once that was done the carers have been on time and reliable. For the money it's sensible.

Really happy with the care

We are so glad we went with them for my grandad, the carer is warm and he gets on with her straight away. The sign up was straightforward and I could see the visit times clearly in the app. Everything has run smoothly since the start.
