This was my first time using the site to book a holiday let in Cornwall. The search was simple and I got a decent price for a cottage near the beach. The host sent the door code the day before, which was helpful. A bit annoying that the price went up slightly when I got to the final page, though.

Compared this against the usual comparison sites and it pulled up more independent places, which was better value. Booked an apartment in Edinburgh for a long weekend and it came in under the others. Good spread of options and the host was easy to contact.

Flight got moved last minute so I needed a hotel near Gatwick for the night. Opened the site on my phone in the queue and had a room booked in five minutes. Found one with free parking and a cheap breakfast. Done.

Compared it with the big booking sites and the prices were about the same for a hostel in York, so not really cheaper. I messaged the host about a late check-in and it took two days to get a reply, which was a pain since I was travelling that day. In the end the check-in was fine. Would be nice if the messaging was quicker.

We needed somewhere accessible for my husband, who uses a wheelchair, and finding a place with a level entrance and a wet room was never easy before. The site let us filter for exactly that, and the listing description matched the property when we arrived. We have used HomeToGo to find places for years now and it has never let us down.

Honestly this is the best way to find a cabin in the Lake District. Compared loads of prices in one place and booked a place for less than the usual sites. Check-in was smooth and the host left a welcome note. Sorted.

Found a campsite in Pembrokeshire with a pitch right by the sea, the photos on the site were spot on. Booked on my phone during my lunch break and it took about two minutes. Host sent the directions and the gate code straight away. Would book again.

Booked a farmhouse in Northumberland with a proper kitchen and a log burner, exactly as described. Reviews from previous guests were easy to read and the cancellation terms were clear before I paid.

The map view is the best bit, you can see exactly where the place is before you book. Found a hostel in Edinburgh right by the station. Only thing is the checkout kept asking me to log in again, which was annoying on my phone.

I have stopped checking the other sites first.

The host did offer a small reduction in response to my message, though I did have to chase it over a few days. The flat itself was clean and comfortable but this was disappointing for the price we paid. I would think carefully before booking a view-based listing again.

Saw a hotel in Edinburgh listed for a good bit less than the usual sites and the price held right through to checkout, no extra fees added at the end which I was half expecting. Booking took about five minutes on my phone and the confirmation came straight through. Room was clean and the location was fine for the money we paid, so for a couple of nights in the city it did the job well enough.

Needed a room near Leeds for one night after a delayed train and found one here for less than I expected. Booked it on the app in a couple of minutes. The room was fine, nothing special but clean and quiet. Good value for a last minute stay.

Compared it with booking the hotel direct and this was about a tenner cheaper for a room in Newcastle, which is decent. The trouble was the payment kept failing on the first attempt and I had to try a few times before it went through. Once it did the confirmation came quickly and the stay was fine, just a bit of a faff getting there.
