Compared this against the usual comparison sites and it pulled up more independent places, which was better value. Booked an apartment in Edinburgh for a long weekend and it came in under the others. Good spread of options and the host was easy to contact.
Read moreI booked a holiday flat in Brighton that was listed as having a sea view, and on arrival the view was partly blocked by a building across the road. The host did offer a small reduction in response to my message, though I did have to chase it over a few days. The flat itself was clean and comfortable but this was disappointing for the price we paid. I would think carefully before booking a…
Read moreAfter my hip operation I needed somewhere quiet and easy to get around for a few weeks, close to my daughter in Bristol. The site allowed me to filter for ground floor flats with a lift, which made the search far less tiring than I expected. The flat matched the description and the host was very helpful with the keysafe. I am most grateful for how straightforward the whole arrangement turned out…
Read moreCompared it with the big booking sites and the prices were about the same for a hostel in York, so not really cheaper. I messaged the host about a late check-in and it took two days to get a reply, which was a pain since I was travelling that day. In the end the check-in was fine. Would be nice if the messaging was quicker.
Compared it with booking the hotel direct and this was about a tenner cheaper for a room in Newcastle, which is decent. The trouble was the payment kept failing on the first attempt and I had to try a few times before it went through. Once it did the confirmation came quickly and the stay was fine, just a bit of a faff getting there.

HomeToGo is a travel search platform that compares holiday rentals, hotels and other accommodation from a wide network of booking sites and providers in one place. Users enter a destination and dates, then see listings from different sources side by side so they can compare prices and conditions before booking directly with the provider.
The service is aimed at travellers who want to search across many accommodation sites rather than checking each one separately, including holidaymakers looking for self-catering houses, apartments and villas. HomeToGo operates online, with its website and mobile apps forming the main points of contact, and it does not hold stock or deliver anything itself since bookings are completed with the partner providers.
