Good value for a family day

Honestly it's great value for a family day out, and we got four tickets for the price of a cheap theme park in the south. Booking the tickets online took about five minutes and the confirmation came straight away. The park is big so bring comfy shoes, we walked miles and the kids were knackered by four o'clock but happy.

Two day park tickets

We bought two day tickets for the park back in the spring, booked through the website which was fairly straightforward to use, though I did find the date picker a little fiddly on my tablet. The day itself was lovely and the staff were very helpful with directions. The queues for a few of the bigger rides were longer than I'd have liked, mind, but we managed.

Booking page kept timing out

The booking page for the park kept timing out on my phone so I had to start again twice. Once the tickets went through they arrived by email straight away, which was fine. Didn't love wasting ten minutes on it.

Better value than the big London parks

Compared with the big London attractions this was much better value, we'd paid nearly double for a day at one of those last year. The tickets were easy to sort on the site and the park was less crowded on a weekday. Food is pricier inside but the picnic rules are sensible.

Years of great days out

Honestly you can't go wrong with this place, we've been coming for about fifteen years. The ticket booking has got simpler every time and the rides still feel fresh. The kids are grown now but we still make the trip every summer.

Our yearly trip

We needed somewhere to take the family at half term and this has become our yearly trip. We've been coming around twelve years now, so we know the place well. Booking is quicker each year and the staff are always helpful.

Better than the other park we tried

We've been going for a few years now, and this beats the other park we tried last year on the food and the layout. The only thing is the car park fills up early on weekends so arrive before ten. Tickets are easy to buy online and the app is decent.

booked the lodge last minute

Honestly the first thing I noticed was how quickly the booking went through, I'd got a room in under ten minutes on the site. We stayed in one of the woodland lodges for two nights. The park is easy to walk round and the night shows are well done, and the staff at the hotel desk were helpful when we asked about the bus back to the station.

Booked a hotel stay

We booked a hotel stay for the weekend, having looked at a couple of other places nearby first. The room was clean and comfy but the check in took ages because the desk was short staffed. The price was fair compared with the others we'd looked at, though breakfast cost extra.

Easily the best value day out

This is easily the best value day out you'll find for a family, and I've done a fair few of them. The booking system takes a minute and you get the tickets by email before you've finished your tea. The park is well laid out with the rides spread around, so there's not much walking between the big attractions.

Got the app on the way in

Got the app for the day and it sorted our tickets straight away. Rides were quick to get on and the lockers were easy. Would go again, the kids loved it.

Better value than the Lakes

Compared with a trip up to the Lakes this was better value for the money, and we didn't have to drive for hours. Booking the tickets on the site took a few minutes and everything was clear. Lunch was a bit pricey but the picnic option helped.

Needed a day trip for the kids

We needed a day trip for the kids over the summer holidays and wanted something not too pricey. The tickets were fine to book but the price went up a bit between checking and paying. The park itself was enjoyable and the staff were patient with the little ones.

Needed a day out for my birthday

I needed a day out for my birthday and my friends wanted somewhere different from the usual cinema trip. It was my first time there and I didn't know what to expect. The tickets were easy to buy online but the park map on the app was a bit hard to follow.

Compared it with a rival park

Compared with a rival park we visited, this one felt calmer and the rides had shorter queues. The only annoyance was the restaurant prices. Booking through the site was smooth and the confirmation came straight away.

Quite pricey but the rides are good

Honestly the thing I noticed most was how pricey the food was, we paid a lot for a plain burger. The rides made up for it though, Baron 1898 was brilliant and the queues were fine on a weekday. Staff were helpful. Would go back with mates.

Bought a family pass

We bought a family pass for the year and it's worked out well for us. The tickets arrived by email within a minute and the pass scanned fine at the gate. The park is clean and the staff were friendly throughout.

Great day, bit of a wait

Great day out, the rides are fun and the atmosphere is lovely. We waited a while to get through the entrance on a busy Saturday though. Would still go again.

We come back every few years

We needed a day out that the grandchildren would enjoy and my husband wanted somewhere he could sit down between rides. We've been going for years now, the first time was when our eldest was small. Booking has got easier over time and the staff still remember the little ones by name.
