Tried a few before settling on this

Verdict: this is the one I'd stick with. I tried a couple of other ukulele courses before this and found them either too basic or too chaotic. This one has a proper progression, the chord explanations are clear and the teaching is patient. I've got through the intermediate stage and I'm still enjoying it.

been a member for years

I've been a member for a good few years now and the lessons have kept getting better. The biggest thing I notice is the song library, which keeps growing so I always have something new to work on. The site is much easier to use than it was when I first joined.

Needed something for my grandson

I needed a way to get my grandson started on the ukulele because his school music teacher had no time. I looked at a couple of other online courses first and this one was more structured for kids. Signing up was a bit fiddly with the password reset but the lessons are good.

took a while to decide

Bought the full beginner course after looking at a few others first, mostly because the price seemed fair and the lessons were laid out clearly. The sign up page was a bit fiddly and I had to ask for a receipt by email. Once I was in it was easy to follow.

wanted to learn for a holiday

I wanted to learn a few songs before a holiday to Cornwall and figured a ukulele course would be the quickest way. The lessons are short enough to fit around work. The only annoying bit is that a couple of videos took ages to load on my wifi.

Better than the free videos

Compared with just watching random free videos on the other sites, this is far more organised and actually builds up step by step. I'm on my phone mostly and it's fine on there. The price is a bit more than free but I'd happily pay for the structure.

still going strong after years

I've been a subscriber for years and the lessons have stayed reliable throughout. Verdict: a solid, dependable way to keep learning. The new songs get added regularly and the video quality has improved a lot since I started.

Good value for the money

The monthly price is well under what the local music shop charges for one lesson, and I get to practise as often as I like. Booking took about five minutes and the first video started straight away. Nothing has felt like a waste so far.

suitable for a complete novice

I needed something to occupy my evenings after I retired, and a friend suggested learning the ukulele. The lessons are clearly set out and the instructors speak at a comfortable pace. I was a little worried I would be too old to learn, but I have found it very approachable.

Decent for a beginner

Really good for picking up the basics and the lessons are short enough to do on the bus. Only thing I'd change is the app kept logging me out when I switched between my phone and laptop, which got annoying after a bit. Sign up was dead quick though and I was strumming a C chord within the hour.

not as good as the older one

I used to pay for a different ukulele course years ago and compared to that this feels a bit thinner. The lessons are fine but the song choices seem more limited than I expected. The sign up and billing were straightforward enough, and I'd guess it suits newer players better than old hands like me.

lessons are good but the app

The lessons are really good and the teaching is clear, which is what I wanted from it. The app is a bit clunky though and it logged me out a couple of times when I was halfway through a song. Still, I'm getting better every week.

Needed a gift for my husband

I needed a present for my husband who'd been talking about learning the ukulele for years. I had a look around and this was the most sensible option for a complete beginner. The sign up took a few minutes and the lessons have been well pitched so far, with clear videos he can follow at his own pace.

Bought the membership

Bought the membership after a mate recommended it and honestly it's sick for learning uke. The lessons are bite size so you don't get bored and the tabs are easy to read on my phone. I've already sent the link to two of my mates and they've signed up too, which is well cool.

Much easier than a class

I'd been looking at in person ukulele classes but they were miles away and clashed with the school run. Signing up here was quick and the lessons are pitched well for a first timer. Compared with a local class it's a lot less hassle and I can pause the video whenever I need to.

my first ever online lesson

I bought the monthly plan for my first ever ukulele course and had no idea what to expect. The video player worked fine on my laptop and I could slow the strumming videos right down. Really happy with how easy it was to start, and I've not had a single glitch.

Still good after all this time

I've been subscribed for a few years now and what keeps me coming back is how the lessons build on each other. The song library has grown a lot since I first joined. Renewals have always gone through without any fuss and the emails remind me when a new course is out.

Cheaper than the usual classes

Compared with the local music shop, where a single lesson is a fair chunk of money, this works out much cheaper per week. The lessons are sensible and I can do them whenever. Only real complaint is that the replay controls could be a bit better.

booked the full uke course

Booked the full beginner course for my ukulele and it's exactly what I needed. The lessons are laid out sensibly, the chord charts are clear and the video walkthroughs of strumming patterns actually made the difference for me. Took about three weeks to get my first proper song going.

Worth every penny so far

This is genuinely great value for a complete beginner like me. I signed up for the starter package and the first few lessons were clear and friendly. I haven't needed to contact anyone yet but the sign-up was straightforward.
