Verdict: this is the one I'd stick with. I tried a couple of other ukulele courses before this and found them either too basic or too chaotic. This one has a proper progression, the chord explanations are clear and the teaching is patient. I've got through the intermediate stage and I'm still enjoying it.
Read moreI needed a way to get my grandson started on the ukulele because his school music teacher had no time. I looked at a couple of other online courses first and this one was more structured for kids. Signing up was a bit fiddly with the password reset but the lessons are good.
Read moreI needed a present for my husband who'd been talking about learning the ukulele for years. I had a look around and this was the most sensible option for a complete beginner. The sign up took a few minutes and the lessons have been well pitched so far, with clear videos he can follow at his own pace.
Read moreI wanted to learn a few songs before a holiday to Cornwall and figured a ukulele course would be the quickest way. The lessons are short enough to fit around work. The only annoying bit is that a couple of videos took ages to load on my wifi.
The lessons are really good and the teaching is clear, which is what I wanted from it. The app is a bit clunky though and it logged me out a couple of times when I was halfway through a song. Still, I'm getting better every week.
Compared with the local music shop, where a single lesson is a fair chunk of money, this works out much cheaper per week. The lessons are sensible and I can do them whenever. Only real complaint is that the replay controls could be a bit better.
