The delivery of the first batch was a bit slow, about ten days, when the page said five to seven. Still, it's been reliable since and I haven't had any issues with the monthly charge.

The rate they quoted was about a point under what my usual lender offers on a similar amount, which is what caught my eye. Application was quick and the approval came back the same afternoon. Repayment schedule is clear and the reminders arrive on time, though the early repayment process needs a phone call which felt a bit old fashioned.

Compared it to my bank app and this was way quicker to get sorted, took about ten minutes from start to finish on my phone. Only niggle is the verification step asked me for a photo twice because the first one was too dark, which was a bit annoying at 11pm. Otherwise the money landed the same day and the whole thing felt pretty straightforward, would use them again.

Compared it to a rival I'd used before, and this one charges a fair bit more for the same kind of job. I know the market reasonably well so I expected a premium. The quality of the work was solid and the engineer explained what he had done. The one thing that let it down was the rescheduling, which took two calls and a few days to sort out. Still, it does the job properly and I'd go back.

What struck me most was the reminder emails, which arrived a few days before each payment was due. I found the process for setting up the standing order perfectly sensible, though it did take a little longer than I had expected. Customer support answered my question about the statement within a day. I would have liked slightly quicker confirmation after changing the details, but I have no real complaints.
