the preview before paying

I particularly appreciated that the software let me preview the recovered files before I paid for the full version. My grandchildren's school projects were on a memory stick I had accidentally formatted. Seeing them listed first gave me confidence to go ahead.

been using them for years

I've been using this company's software for years, first with an old desktop and more recently with a laptop. It's always done what I needed, which is getting back things I've accidentally deleted at work. The updates keep it working on newer systems and the interface hasn't changed much, which I actually like.

Mostly satisfied with the recovery

I am mostly satisfied with the outcome, as most of my documents came back intact after my laptop failed. The one thing I found a little fiddly was getting the refund request sorted when a file type didn't recover properly. The reply took a couple of days to come through, but it was polite and helpful once it arrived.

knew what I needed and it delivered

I know my way round a bit of hardware so I went in knowing the drive was failing. The deep scan option is the detail that stood out most, since it digs past the file system when a quick scan finds nothing. It recovered a corrupted database backup I'd given up on. The interface is clean and doesn't get in the way.

Quicker than the other tools I tried

Had a few tools open side by side before settling on this one. The scan here seemed to pick up more of my old music files than the others. Took a bit of time to find the right setting but it got there in the end.

Way better than the free stuff

Tried a free tool first and it found nothing, this one actually pulled my uni photos back off a dead phone. Much easier to use too, the app walked me through it and I didn't have to faff about.

Bought the yearly plan for a lost photo card

Bought the yearly plan to get some wedding photos back off a corrupted SD card. Did the scan, found everything I needed, and the price was lower than the other tools I'd looked at. Sorted in an afternoon.

better than paying a shop

Compared with taking my old phone to a repair shop for data recovery, doing it myself with this software was much more reasonable. I followed the steps and got my contacts and a few letters back. It was clear enough that I didn't need to ring anyone for help.

First time using it, got my files back

My first time using this kind of service and I'd say it was worth every penny I paid. I had a crashed external hard drive with a few years of family videos on it. The scan took a while but the software stayed responsive throughout. The files came back in their folders, with names intact, which I didn't expect. I'd been braced for a mess of random numbered files. Really pleased with the outcome.

tried two others before this one

I needed to recover some client spreadsheets after my office PC got a virus. I'd tried two other tools first and both wanted payment before showing me anything. This one let me check what was recoverable and the price was fair. Got the spreadsheets back the same day.

Cheaper than the high street option

Compared with the data recovery shop in town, which wanted a fair bit more just to look at the drive, this was far cheaper. I downloaded the software at home and recovered my accounts folder myself. Sensible money for what I got back.

Better than the free tool I tried

Tried a free recovery tool first and it found nothing useful on my old phone. This one picked up my photos and messages straight away, so compared with that it was a no brainer. Took about ten minutes and I wasn't left guessing what was happening.

Found the photos but the scan was slow

I bought the recovery software to get back some photos from a memory card that had gone unreadable. The software did find them, which I was pleased about. The scan did take quite a long time, longer than I'd expected, so it's worth leaving the computer alone for a while. Otherwise I had no real complaints with how it worked.

the scan actually found my files

Honestly the scan actually found my files, which I didn't think it would after my laptop died. Signed up on the app in about two minutes while waiting for the kettle. Got the recovered files straight onto a drive. Really easy, would use again.

the preview thing saved me

The preview thing is what got me, you can see your files before paying which is lush. Lost some uni essays off a dead USB stick. Got them back, cheers.

Worth it for a first go

Yes it was worth it, my first time ever paying for recovery software and I was nervous about wasting money. I'd deleted a load of video clips off a cheap USB stick by mistake and the scan picked up nearly all of them. Checking the files before buying was useful, and the whole thing took a fair bit of time but was painless enough.

Best of the ones I tried

Easily the best of the three recovery programmes I tried on a dodgy USB stick. The others either found nothing or wanted a silly amount of money. This one brought back my tax records and the price was reasonable.

Got the files but the price stung a bit

Used this to recover some work files from a failed SSD and the scan found most of what I needed. The price felt a bit high for a one off job compared with the cheaper tool I'd looked at first. The results were good though, and I didn't need to contact support at all.

Needed it for my late husband's laptop

I needed it because my late husband's laptop had old family photos on it that I hadn't backed up. I was worried I'd never see them again. The software was straightforward to follow and the photos came back.

Needed it for a lost thesis

I needed to get back a thesis draft after my external drive went. The price was lower than the repair quotes I'd been given. The software was simple enough to run on my own laptop.
