Bought the annual plan for a new laptop

I signed up for the annual backup plan when I got a new laptop and set it to run nightly. Setup took about ten minutes and the cloud sync has run every night since without me touching it. When my old laptop's hard drive started clicking I restored the whole user folder onto the new machine in one go and everything was where I left it. Really glad I didn't leave it another week.

Tried it after a friend's suggestion

A mate at work suggested this after I had been using a free tool that stopped working on my newer machine. I found the paid one a little dearer than the free option, but it has been far more dependable. The recovery did what it said when I tested it. Happy enough with it.

The local drive option saved me money

The option to back up to a local external drive instead of the cloud is what sold me on this. I'd been paying for cloud space I didn't need, and now my backups go to a cheap drive on the shelf. Restores are quick because the drive is right there. Good value for a small business with limited storage.

lost photos came back, so quick

Honestly, this sorted it. My old laptop died and I thought every holiday photo was gone, but the recovery found nearly all of them in under an hour. Scanning the drive was quick and the preview made it easy to pick out what I needed. Sorted.

Needed to sort my phone photos

My phone got wiped by accident and I needed my photos back before a family trip. The recovery worked and I got most of the pictures back in an afternoon. The app itself is easy to use on my laptop. Glad I didn't have to pay for a repair shop.

does exactly what it needs to

Brilliant app, backed up my whole gaming pc and it's been running every night without any issues. Restored a folder once and it came straight back. Cheap enough for a student and it doesn't slow my machine down.

The restore thing is the best bit

What got me was how you can restore just one file without pulling the whole backup back, which I didn't expect. Used it on my dissertation folder after my laptop crashed the week before the deadline and got everything back the same evening. Setup was dead easy, took about ten minutes. Would definitely use it again.

cheap enough to just try

Needed something to back up my work files and the price was low enough to just give it a go. Installed it on my desktop and the scheduled backups have run fine so far. The customer wording on one renewal screen was a bit confusing, mind. Otherwise good value.

Way better than the other one

Compared to the other backup service I tried first, this is so much less faff. That one kept logging me out every couple of days and I got fed up. This just sits there and runs in the background and I forget it's there until I need it. Setup took about ten minutes on my phone and the restore worked first time.

far easier than the alternative I tried

Before this I had tried another backup service which kept asking me to log in again every few days. This one was much simpler to set up and has run without bother. The restore of my tax records went smoothly when I needed them. I am glad I changed.

Needed to clone my old drive

I needed to move everything from my old hard drive to a new SSD, so I went for the cloning feature. Took most of a morning but the new drive booted fine. Was a bit fiddly picking the right options, though it worked in the end. Decent value.

Not as quick as the other one

I compared this with another backup tool before choosing, and the other one felt quicker to set up. This one takes longer to finish the first full backup, which runs for a good part of a day on my machine. Once it is done it works well and the restore was clear. I think the first backup just takes a while.

Good service, slightly fussy setup

I bought the backup plan for my wife's and my home computers, which took a little while to link to the online account. Once set up it has behaved well and the scheduled backups have never missed. The support staff were patient on the telephone. A small fault is that the initial setup asks rather a lot of questions.

bought it for my uni essays

Got the backup plan for my uni laptop because I kept losing my essay files. It just runs in the background every night and I haven't had to think about it once. Setup was dead quick too, took like ten minutes.

recovery tool, decent but a bit slow

Bought the recovery software to get back some deleted video files off an SD card. It found most of what I wanted, though a couple of clips came back corrupted and I had to rerun a deep scan. The interface is fine once you know where things are. Price was on the higher side for a one-off job compared with a couple of others I checked.

Clear instructions for a non technical person

I was rather nervous about recovering a folder of letters I had accidentally deleted from my computer. The recovery screens were laid out plainly and I was able to find the documents without needing to telephone anyone. The whole thing took a little while but I was quite pleased with how gently it guided me through. My documents are safely back where they belong.

Needed something cheap for the office pcs

We run a small accountancy practice with four desktops and needed a backup that didn't cost the earth. The licence was a fair bit cheaper than the big names we'd looked at, and it handles the shared network folder without fuss. The only snag is the price goes up at renewal so you have to remember to check. Otherwise it does the job and nobody has complained.

refund took far too long

Tried to cancel my subscription after the trial and the cancellation page didn't seem to go through, so I emailed. The reply came back almost four days later and then I still had to chase the refund. Backup itself was fine while it ran but the billing side was a real pain. Probably won't come back.

still the one I trust after many years

This is the backup tool I've kept on my computers for years, and it has never let me down when it mattered. I have used it through three different computers and each time the move was simple. Customer help has answered my questions in a day or so each time, which I appreciate. I would not change it.
