We needed a gentler option for my husband

My husband has had a knee operation so we needed something gentler than the usual hiking trips. The company was happy to talk through the easier routes on the phone, which I appreciated. On the day, though, the coach was late setting off and the lunch stop was not as relaxed as we'd been told.

Best walking trip I have done in years

Honest verdict, this is the best guided walking trip I've done in years, and I've done quite a few in the Alps and Scotland. The leader pitched the pace perfectly and the rest stops were in genuinely lovely spots. The only reason it isn't perfect is that the first night's dinner was a bit late, but that barely counts.

Better than the other operator I used

Compared with the operator I used in the Dolomites, this was a bit more relaxed and the group sizes were smaller. I know the walking side well, so I noticed the route notes were a touch vague in places. Otherwise the hotels were clean, the transfers were on time and the guide was good company on the long days.

Better than the coach tours I used to take

Compared with the coach tours we used to take, this is far more relaxed, with proper time to stop and look around. The guide knew the local history and the hotels were comfortable. We've been loyal customers for years and this trip was no exception.

Needed something for a last minute weekend

Needed a cheap escape with my mates and this fit the bill. Booking on the site was dead easy, took about five mins. The hostel was a bit of a walk from the meeting point which was annoying with bags, but the guide was sound and the hike was class.

First time with them, mostly good

I booked the Yorkshire Dales short break as my first trip with them, and the payment and confirmation came through straight away. The route was lovely and the breakfasts were filling, which I wasn't expecting. The only niggle was that the pick up point was a bit hard to find on the map, so we ended up asking a local. Would happily go again.

cheaper than the big names for the same route

Compared with the bigger names offering the Coast to Coast, these were noticeably cheaper for near identical itineraries, and I checked three of them before booking. The walking days were well organised, the luggage transfer worked every single morning and the final night hotel was a real treat. Would happily use them again.

Best option of the lot

Had a look at a few Cornwall coast walk options before going with these, and the detail that stood out was how clearly they laid out the daily distances. The rest stops were well placed, the guide knew the path and the local history, and the accommodation was clean. Booking on the app took about ten minutes and everything matched what the site said. Really pleased with it.

Booked the highlands tour and loved it

We looked at several tours of the Scottish Highlands before choosing the seven day trip with them. The minibus was comfortable, the driver stopped where we asked and the hotels were lovely, with proper home cooked dinners. Our friends are already asking where we're going next year.

The rest stops made the trip

Simply put, the trip was excellent value for a week in the Brecon Beacons, with the guide, breakfasts and transfers all sorted. I've walked this area alone before and the route they chose was better than mine. The rest stops at the old pubs were a real highlight and the group was sociable. No complaints at all from me.

Not quite the trip I'd hoped for

I've been on a fair few walking holidays so I know what a good one looks like, and compared with the specialist operator I used last year this one fell short. The route was shorter than the description suggested and two of the days felt rushed. The booking was simple enough, but the guide seemed to be working from a script rather than knowing the area.

Sound but a bit slow to sort out

They are a sound outfit and the walking itself was well organised, though I did find the booking process took longer than it needed to. When I had a query about the transfer times, it was several days before anyone got back to me, which was a little frustrating. The trip itself was pleasant enough and the accommodation was fine.

booked the coast walk for a week

Booked the seven day Cornwall coast walk after comparing three other operators, and this one came out cheapest with the same route. The guide was lovely, breakfasts were proper, and the transfers ran on time every day. Would happily go again.

Needed a break and this was perfect

Needed a proper break from work so booked the Cornwall coast walk on my phone in about ten minutes. The group was lovely and the guide was great. Would do it again.

Good value for what you get

Honestly it's great value for a week in the Pyrenees, all the transfers, breakfasts and two guided hikes included. We priced up three other operators and this was the best for the money by a fair margin. Nothing went wrong and the leader was helpful, so we'd book with them again.

Booked a short break for my wife's birthday

We needed a birthday treat for my wife and this short walking break in the Yorkshire Dales seemed a sensible choice. The booking process was clear and the confirmation arrived promptly. The guide was attentive and the hotel was a lovely old place, though the room was a touch small for two.

The guide knew everything

What struck me most was the guide, who knew the history of every village we walked through in the Yorkshire Dales. I compared a few walking holidays before picking this one and nothing else came close for the price. Breakfasts were brilliant and the luggage transfers never went missing.

The rest stops were spot on

The rest stops were the best bit, proper cafes every few miles on the Cornwall walk, so nobody was flagging. Booking on the site was quick but the payment page kept timing out on my phone so I had to try twice. Guide was friendly and the breakfasts were filling. Transfers picked us up from the hotel each morning without any drama.
