The log burner was class

Got the cottage with the log burner and it was class on a cold night. Logs were already in the basket which was nice. Bed was a bit squeaky but fine. Would stay again.

Needed somewhere last minute

Our plans fell through so we needed a cottage for a long weekend fast. Found this one on the site and booked it in about five minutes. Place was cosy, the wifi worked and the hot tub was a bonus. Would book again no question.

the price jumped at checkout

The price on the listing looked good but it went up by a fair bit once we got to checkout because of cleaning and service fees. The cottage itself was nice and the host was pleasant when I asked about it. Check-in instructions came through a bit late, so we stood outside for a while. It was an okay stay but I expected more for what we paid.

The bunk room for the kids

The bunk room was the thing that sold it for us, the kids were thrilled. We know these places well from past trips and this one has the best layout. Beds were made up with fresh linen. Easy trip.

Booked quicker than the others

Looked at a few other sites and booking here was quicker than the rest. Confirmation came straight away and the cottage matched the listing. Kitchen was well stocked and the beds were good. Would use again.

First time renting a cottage

Never rented a cottage before and this was a good first go. The booking was straightforward and the host gave clear directions. The place had everything, from tea towels to a proper fridge. Very pleased with it.

Easily the best cottage we looked at

We compared about four places before booking and this one came out on top for us. The cottage was clean, warm and exactly where the photos said it was, with a proper kitchen for cooking the big family dinners we planned. We found the booking process simple and the host answered our questions within the hour. The stay was relaxed and the village was lovely for walks. We will be going back next spring.

the hot tub under the stars

The hot tub out the back was the best bit, we sat in it till gone midnight looking at the stars. Cottage was cute and the beds were proper comfy. Checkin was a bit of a faff, had to wait ages for the code to come through by text. Still great.

Lovely place for a weekend

Booked it on the site for a weekend away with my mates and it was spot on. Easy to find, the place was clean and the hot tub was a bit of a laugh on the Saturday night. Would go back.

Needed somewhere pet friendly

We needed somewhere that would take our dog, which is hard to find. This one was on the list and the host confirmed it straight away. The garden is fenced and the dog loved it. Clean and comfy throughout.

Great first booking

First time booking one of these and it was smooth from start to finish. The cottage was spotless and the instructions for the wood burner were clear. Host sent a welcome message the night before we arrived. Really happy with it.

Needed a quiet place to recover

I needed somewhere quiet to recover after a hard few months and this cottage was exactly that. No neighbours, just fields and birdsong. The kitchen had everything I needed and the sofa was brilliant for reading. Booking was easy.

the view from the bedroom window

The view from the bedroom window is what got me, you can see right down the valley. Place was clean and the bed was big. Checkout was super easy, just leave the key and go. Lovely little break.

better value than the other sites

Checked a couple of other holiday sites first and this came out cheaper for the same dates, so we booked here. The cottage had everything we needed, the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfy. Costs were fair with no nasty surprises, and the check in instructions arrived in plenty of time. For a week away we got good value.

booked the cottage with the wood burner

We booked the cottage with the wood burner for a February break and it was lovely. The stove drew well and the logs they left were dry. Only niggle was the wifi being a bit patchy upstairs.

Way cheaper than a hotel

Went with this over a hotel for the same weekend and it was way cheaper for a whole cottage. Plenty of space for four of us and the kitchen was decent. Took about two minutes to book on my phone. Good shout.

Better than the big chain sites

Compared it against a couple of the big holiday sites and this was far less fuss. Booking was quick and the price was fair for what we got. The cottage had everything we needed for the week with the kids. Host was friendly.

The garden room was a nice extra

The garden room with the table and chairs was a nice extra, we ate out there most evenings. Price was good for what you get, a lot of space for the money. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the basics we needed for the week.

the heated towel rail was spot on

We stayed in the cottage with the heated towel rail and drying room, which was perfect for our walking boots after a wet day on the moors. The beds were comfy and the garden was lovely for the dog. The only thing was the parking space was a bit tight for our estate car, so we had to shuffle things about. Otherwise a lovely week and the host was helpful with local tips.

We have been coming for years

We have been booking the same cottage every autumn for about eight years, because we needed somewhere we could walk from the door. It is still as cosy as it was the first time. The owners keep the garden tidy and the beds are good. We always get the same welcome.
