Booked the Brighton day trip

Booked the Brighton day trip for my partner's birthday and the booking process was quick and clear. The coach left on time and the driver was cheerful the whole way. The pier stop was only about forty minutes, which felt a bit short for what they had planned. Still a nice day out for the money.

really good value

Honestly really good value for a weekend away in the Lakes with my mates. Booking was dead easy on the app and we got a message straight after paying. Accommodation was clean and the group activities were a laugh. Would do it again.

Considered other operators first

I did consider other operators before settling on this one for a short break in the Cotswolds. Their tour was well paced and the guide took time to explain the history of each village without rushing. Bookings are handled promptly and any questions are answered courteously. I was grateful for the care they took with my wheelchair on the uneven paths.

Needed something gentle after my op

I needed something gentle to get me out after my hip op and this was recommended by my daughter. Everything was arranged so I didn't have to lift a case or worry about stairs. The coach had proper steps and the drivers were very patient with the wheelchair. We went to Bath and it was just what I needed.

better than booking the bits myself

I'd already priced up doing the Scotland trip by booking the train and hotels separately, and this came out a fair bit cheaper and saved me an evening of tabs. The itinerary they put together made sense for the route. My only gripe is the confirmation email took a day to arrive and I had to chase it. Otherwise solid.

Best small group walking trip

The guides knew every bit of the route and kept the group together without ever making anyone feel rushed or left behind. We did the Lake District trip in October and the pace suited our mix of ages perfectly. Pick-up from Windermere was on time and the accommodation list they sent beforehand was accurate. Would go again.

Booking was quick but the coach was late

The first thing I noticed was how many options came up for the Peak District trip, which made it easy to compare. Booked in a few minutes on my phone. Coach did turn up twenty minutes late on the day though, nobody told us why.

the glamping pods

I booked the glamping pods near Snowdonia for a stag weekend and the pods were the best bit. Bunk beds, a proper hot tub and a fire pit. Booking took about two minutes on my phone and the price was fine for the group. Would go back.

sign up took longer than it should

I needed a coach trip to the Lake District for my sister's birthday and this seemed a good fit. Signing up took longer than I'd have liked, as the form kept timing out and I had to start again. Once it was done the trip itself was pleasant and well organised. I'd still consider them.

quick and easy weekend away

Booked a weekend in Bath on my phone during my lunch break. The app showed me everything clearly and the train times were right. Got a reminder the night before which was handy.

Needed a break after a rough year

We needed something to get us away from work and the house after my dad's funeral, and this seemed like the easiest option. I've booked with them three times now, always the same friendly team on the phone. The coastal break in Cornwall was exactly what we wanted and nothing felt forced. Happy to keep coming back.

Not quite the hotel I expected

I had considered a boutique hotel break through a different agent, and this seemed to offer something similar at a lower rate. The hotel itself was perfectly pleasant but the room was smaller than the photos on the booking page suggested. When I raised it, the reply took three days to arrive and was rather brief. The location was good and the staff were courteous throughout.

Knows the routes well

I've been on walking holidays for years and this is the one I'd point people to now. The Dales route they use is well chosen, with a good mix of pub stops and proper climbs. Luggage transfer between the inns was reliable every single day. Leaders were experienced and clearly knew the paths in bad weather as well as good.

sorted, would book again

Booked a long weekend in Edinburgh with a mate and it was sorted in about ten minutes on the site. Hotel was in a decent spot and the group sightseeing bit was actually good fun. Booking was simple and the person on chat answered within a few minutes when I had a question about the tour time. Nothing to complain about for a first trip.

checked three sites before this one

I checked three sites before this one for a weekend in the Cotswolds and the itinerary on this one was the most sensible. The walking route they picked avoided the crowds in the village centres. Booked through the app and the confirmation came straight away. Guide was knowledgeable and patient with my dad, who uses a stick.

booked the rail and hotel package

We went for the rail and hotel package to York for our wedding anniversary, and I've used them for a few trips now. The train tickets came through the app the day after booking, which was handy. The hotel was a lovely old place near the Minster and the staff remembered us from the last time. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish and we'll be booking the spring one too.

The rooms were lovely but the wifi was slow

The rooms at the Bristol stay were the detail I remember most, really clean with a proper bath. Booking through the site was easy and I had the confirmation within a minute. The wifi was painfully slow though and I couldn't do a video call for work. Rest of the trip was great.

First trip with them and it was smooth

Compared to booking the train and hotel myself on another site, this worked out simpler because everything was in one place and I could see the total before paying. I'd never used them before so I was a bit wary, but the confirmation came through straight away and the hotel was exactly where it said. Good start for a first booking.

booked from the car park

Booked from the car park at the services, so this was quick and easy. Went to the Peak District with the group and the walk leader was good. Price was fair and the pickup was on time. Would use them again.

sensible price for a solo trip

I wanted a solo trip to Wales that wouldn't cost the earth and I'd been putting it off for ages. Booking was straightforward and the price stayed the same when I paid, which I was pleased about. Walking tour and transfers were all included, so I didn't need to budget for extras. Good value for a first trip on my own.

About Sailing Virgins

Sailing Virgins is a UK-based holiday and trip operator that organises sailing holidays and crewed yacht charters for people who want to learn to sail or enjoy time on the water. The company runs its trips from a range of sailing locations and shapes each itinerary around the experience level of the group, from complete beginners to more confident sailors. Its booking process is handled online through its website, where guests can view available dates, trip details and what is included before they book.

The company is known for its friendly, sociable atmosphere on board and for the practical sailing instruction guests receive alongside the scenic routes and anchorages they visit.
