adventure trip for my husband's birthday

We booked the activity weekend for my husband's sixtieth, and I think it was the thoughtful touches that made the difference. The instructors took care to explain the kayaking properly, the lodge was warm and comfortable, and the transfers from the station were arranged without any bother at all.

First trip and it went smoothly

I was nervous about booking a walking trip through a site I'd never used before, but the booking took about ten minutes on my phone. The guide met us at the station exactly when they said, and the group was lovely. Already looking at another one for next spring.

very well organised

Very well organised from start to finish, and I would happily use them again for another trip. The route was sensible, the hotels were as described, and the guide was courteous and knew the area well.

The ferry transfer booking

We booked the ferry transfer add on for our island week, which saved us hunting for taxis at the port. It has been the same company every time we have used them, and the drivers were on time for the pickups.

Needed a quick last minute break

Needed a last minute break for a funeral weekend in Wales and needed it sorted fast. Booked on the site at lunchtime, had confirmation within the hour, and the hotel was just as listed.

Cycling trip in the lakes

Looked at four or five options for a cycling weekend in the Lake District before settling on this one, mainly because the bike hire was included and the route notes were clear. The bikes were a bit older than I expected but they rode fine, and the guide sorted a puncture for us quickly on the second day. Booking took maybe ten minutes.

We've been with them for years

We needed a reliable company for our yearly trip to the Dales, and we have been using this one since 2014. The booking form is simple, the reminders arrive when they should, and the hotels have always matched what we were promised.

Cheaper than booking direct

Compared with booking the hotels direct, this came out a bit cheaper once the transfers were added in. The hotel list was a bit shorter than I'd hoped and the confirmation email took longer than I expected to arrive.

better than the other sites

Compared with the other sites I tried, this was simpler to use and the price was a touch lower. The customer service team took a couple of days to answer a query about changing dates, which was the only real irritation.

the minibus driver

The driver on the minibus leg was the best bit, friendly and happy to stop for photos on the way. Booking on the app took two minutes and the trip ran smoothly from start to finish.

Ferry and hotel sorted but slow

The first thing I noticed was that the confirmation email came through within a minute of paying, which was a relief. Getting hold of anyone about a change to our dates took a few days though, and I had to chase it twice. The trip itself to the Dales was fine and the route notes were clear enough, but I'd hoped for a quicker reply.

Good value for a long weekend

This is a good deal for a long weekend away, and the itinerary was clear enough to follow without fuss. The only niggle was that the deposit took a few days to confirm, so I had to chase it once.

Needed something last minute

Needed a cheap weekend away with my mates and found this on a whim. Booking was quick, the group rate was decent, but the confirmation email got stuck in spam so we nearly missed it.

Well run and well priced

Their route planning is spot on and the guides clearly know the terrain, which is what I look for when I book a walking trip. The kit storage at the hotels was handy and the schedule stuck to the times on the paperwork.

Better value than the big names

Compared with the larger operators I looked at, this worked out cheaper for the same type of cycling trip and didn't cut corners on the bikes or the accommodation. We paid a little less than the others quoted and got a proper mechanic on hand each morning, which was worth a lot. The pick up points were where we'd expected and the transfers were on time.

Booked for my sister's 70th

We needed somewhere to book a group trip for my sister's seventieth, and the site was the easiest I found for arranging it. The itinerary was clear, the staff were patient with my questions on the phone, and everything arrived in good time before we set off for the coast.

The surfing week

We booked the surfing week mainly for the lessons, and the instructors gave us a proper set of boards to use. It was good value for what we got, and the transfers from the car park were on time each morning.

good cycling weekend with one niggle

I've done a fair few cycling weekends in the Lakes and this was well put together. The bike hire was included and the bikes were properly serviced. The only gripe is the deposit took a while to refund after we got back, but the rest was spot on.

A little pricier than the rest

Compared with the other firms I looked at for the Pyrenees, this one was a little dearer, though I felt the extra care was reasonable. The route was well planned and the guides were excellent, but it took several days for them to reply to my question about the luggage arrangements.

Their staff know their stuff

Honestly the staff know their stuff and I'd rate them above anyone else I've used for walking breaks. We were looked after from the first phone call to the final transfer home, and the guide sorted a change of route when the weather turned.
