Far cheaper than the usual hotel

Compared it with a hotel in the same part of York and the flat was about half the price for a whole place with a kitchen. Booking was quick and the host was friendly. Good space for the money and we will use it again for a city trip.

needed a flat for a work trip

I needed somewhere near the hospital in Birmingham for a two week work placement, and hotels were pricey. Booked a studio with a proper desk and the location was spot on. Cheaper than a hotel for that length of time and the host was easy to deal with.

The hot tub made the trip

Booked a cabin in the Lake District with a hot tub on the decking and honestly that was the whole reason. Booking was quick and the cabin looked just like the photos, which was a relief. Hot tub was a bit fiddly to get heated up but the host sent a video on how to do it. Great spot for a few days off, we'd go back.

Decent flat in glasgow

Flat in Glasgow was decent, the Wi-Fi and the heating worked well and the location was handy for the pubs. Took a bit of time to get the door code sorted though. Good enough for a weekend away.

Our regular spot in cornwall

We've been using this site for about six years now, mostly for the same cottage near Padstow when we want to get away from the grandchildren. We needed somewhere with a proper garden and a bit of quiet, and it's always delivered. This year the booking took a little longer to confirm than usual, but the host was apologetic and it all went smoothly.

cheap and cheerful

Booked a flat in Brighton for a lads weekend and it was dead easy to book on the app. Cheaper than the hotels we looked at, the place was clean and the beds were fine. Would go again tbh.

a lovely stay in the peak district

Being rather fussy about bedding, I was pleased to find the sheets were crisp and the mattress firm enough for my back. The cottage in the Peak District was quiet and the host had left a list of walks nearby. Booking was simple and everything arrived as described.

fine but the check in was a faff

Flat was fine, clean and warm, but finding the key box took ages and the code they sent was for the wrong door. Sent a message and it took nearly a day to get a reply so we were stood outside with bags for a while. Once we were in it was all good.

Lovely cottage in the cotswolds

We booked the cottage near Stow for our wedding anniversary, which the hosts were kind enough to note on arrival. The garden was lovely and the beds were comfortable. Everything was exactly as described and the welcome hamper was a very pleasant touch.

more space than the hotel

Compared this with a couple of hotels in Bath and the flat gave us so much more room for the money, with a separate lounge and a proper kitchen for the kids. Booking was smooth and the host gave clear directions to the car park. The bathroom was a bit small but that didn't bother us. We'd happily stay in the same flat again.

Great for a short city break

Easily the best option for a short city break in Manchester. Booked it in a couple of minutes and the place was spotless when we arrived. Only small gripe was the kettle.

had hoped for more

We needed a base in Harrogate for a few days of walking and the listing looked suitable. Booking itself was straightforward enough but the host took two days to confirm our arrival time, which left us uneasy. The house was comfortable and well kept, though the heating was slow to come on. Fair enough for the money but I expected a more prompt response.

Booked a cottage for a walking break

Booked a two bed cottage near Hawes for a long weekend of walking the Dales and it was exactly what we wanted. The listing said parking for two cars and it was true, the spot was just a bit tight to turn in. The host replied to my questions within a few hours which was good. Heating took a while to warm the place through but once it did it was lovely and cosy. Would use again.

the flat is spot on

The flat in Newcastle is spot on for what we wanted, which was somewhere central with a proper kitchen. We've been booking through this site for years for work and family trips and the quality has stayed consistent. Host was quick to answer our questions about the boiler and all was well.

Booked a flat in edinburgh

We booked a two bedroom flat in Edinburgh for a long weekend after comparing a few sites and this one had the best photos for the price. The place was clean and in the right area, though the check in instructions arrived a bit late, the evening before we got there. Otherwise a smooth stay and we'd probably use them again for city breaks.

Better than a premier inn

Went with this over a Premier Inn near the airport and it was a much better stay for the money. Booking took under five minutes and the flat was bigger than the photos suggested. Parking was easy and the host answered a question straight away. Will use again.

Ok but not as good as hotels

Compared to a Premier Inn it felt a bit less certain, the booking went through fine but the flat was tucked down a side street and hard to find with bags. Host sorted it in the end with a message but took about forty minutes to reply. Space was good for the money. Would think about it again but I'd check the location first.

Lovely holiday house in devon

Booked a house near Salcombe for a family week and the price was really fair for the size. Everything was as shown in the photos and the kids had a proper garden to run about in. The host left a welcome pack with local maps and a bottle of wine, which we thought was kind. Nice spot and we're already looking at dates for next year.

Needed somewhere accessible

We needed somewhere on one level as my husband has trouble with stairs after his hip operation. The listing described the access clearly and I did appreciate that. Booking was simple and the host replied to our questions within the day, so we were quite content with the arrangement.
