better than the other one

Compared with the other wax museum in the city, this one felt much more fun and the rooms were less busy. Booked on my phone during a queue for coffee and it took a minute. Staff were lovely and the photos came out really well.

Needed a rainy day plan

We needed a plan for a wet Sunday in Barcelona with two small kids and not much budget. Looked at a few things and this one had the best reviews for families. The figures kept the kids quiet and interested, and booking took five minutes on the site. Staff were patient when the youngest had a meltdown by the Beatles.

Booked ahead for our visit

We booked the adult tickets through the website a few weeks before our trip to Barcelona, and the confirmation came through promptly. The wax figures are remarkably detailed, and the staff were polite and helpful when we asked about the route through the rooms. It was a pleasant way to spend a grey morning in the city.

Would go back in a heartbeat

We've been back twice now and it's still my favourite indoor thing in Barcelona. The staff remember us and the rooms are kept clean. Tickets are easy to sort online.

First trip, booked on the site

First time I've been, and I booked two adult tickets on the site for a Saturday morning. The confirmation came straight away and the entry was smooth. The figures were a real highlight and kept the kids talking all the way round.

Not as cheap as the other place

Compared with the cheaper attraction down the road, this one costs a bit more, though the figures are much better. We've been coming to Barcelona for years and always pop in on the last afternoon. Staff are helpful and the rooms are easy to walk round.

Good value for the price

This is the place to go if you want good value for a Barcelona afternoon. The adult ticket was a fair price and I didn't have to pay extra for the audio guide. Got through the entrance quickly with the printed voucher. Sensible money spent.

pricier than the London one

Compared with the London wax museum, this is a bit dearer for the same sort of thing. It's still a decent day out and the rooms are nicely done. We've been a few times now and it's always worth a visit.

Better than the london one

Compared with the wax museum we went to in London years ago, this one feels more polished and less crowded. The tickets were easy to sort on their site and the rooms flow well. We've been back on two trips now.

Best option for a rainy day

This is the one to pick if you're in Barcelona with kids and it's pouring. We looked at a couple of aquariums and a cinema first, but the museum was easier to get into and the kids spent ages on the selfie wall. Booking was straightforward and the place was calm enough to enjoy.

a ticket that was good value

We bought the standard adult ticket online and it was cheaper than paying on the door. The entry time was clear and we got through the gate without any fuss. Good value for an afternoon out.

Decent value for a wet day

Bought two adult tickets online which worked out cheaper than paying at the door, so that's a plus. The tickets arrived by email within a minute and the entry was quick on the day. The rooms are fine for the money and there's plenty to look at, though we ended up skipping a couple of the smaller side rooms as they were a bit repetitive. Would go again if we're back in the city.

Needed a place for the group

We needed somewhere to take a group of eight on a stag weekend that wasn't a bar. Compared a few options and this was the cheapest for a group booking. Booking the group slot online was simple and the staff were friendly.

Worth it honestly

Really fun for a wet day, the selfie corners are class and we got loads of pics. Booked online in two mins and the QR code worked first go at the door.

Needed something for the visitors

We had friends over from Manchester and needed something to fill a wet afternoon. Booking was quick but the confirmation email went to my spam folder, so I had to chase it up. Once inside it was all good and our visitors loved it.

The wax faces are uncanny

The first thing that struck me was how lifelike the faces were, you really do forget they aren't real for a second. We've been to the Barcelona site a few times now and they've kept the rooms fresh. Staff always seem to know the history of each room.

the selfie corners

The selfie corners were the best bit for us, loads of little set-ups with proper props. Booked on the app while waiting for the bus. Easy to get in and the staff were quick with a smile.

Tickets were fine but dull at times

We bought the family ticket online and it arrived by email straight away, which was good. Some of the rooms felt a bit sparse and one area was closed for maintenance with no explanation on the day. The staff were pleasant when we asked. It was an ok visit for the money.

first visit, bought online

First time we'd been and we bought the tickets on the site the night before, which was dead easy. The confirmation email came straight through with a QR code, so we just showed it on my phone at the door. Wasn't a long queue either.

Needed something to do in bcn

Got stuck with a rainy afternoon in Barcelona and needed something indoors that wasn't a shopping centre. Booked online on my phone in about two minutes, the figures were cool and the rooms were packed but not rammed. Good one, honestly.

About Museo Cera Barcelona

Museo Cera Barcelona is a wax museum in the Catalan capital, displaying lifelike wax figures of film stars, musicians, sports figures, politicians and historical personalities. The attraction is organised into themed rooms and sections, so visitors move through the displays at their own pace and can photograph the figures up close. Ticketing is handled through the museum's own website, where visitors can book entry before arriving.

The museum attracts tourists visiting Barcelona as well as families and groups looking for an indoor day out in the city centre. It is known for its detailed figure work and for the way the displays are staged, with many visitors choosing it as one stop among the city's major attractions.
