Lovely chalet with a proper map

The first thing I noticed was the printed map they sent with our confirmation, marking every walk and the nearest pub, which my husband and I found very helpful. We had booked a cottage near Keswick for a week in October and the arrangements were clear throughout. The key safe code worked first time and the owners had left us some local jam, which was a kind touch. I would happily book with them again for a quiet break.

cheaper than the rest

Compared to booking the trains and a hotel separately this was about forty quid less for the two of us. The bundle included the transfer from Euston, which saved a taxi. Hotel in Bournemouth was basic but clean and the rooms were fine for a weekend.

proper walking week

I have done a fair few walking holidays so I know what to look for, and the detail that stood out was the route notes they supply with each booking. The maps were accurate and the luggage transfer between inns worked every day. Accommodation was clean and the packed lunches were decent. Nothing wrong with it.

better value than sorting it myself

I've booked plenty of short breaks over the years and this beat doing it piece by piece. Last time I'd bought the train and a room separately and it cost me more, whereas here the transfer was included and the timings matched up. The room was clean, the host answered a question about parking within the hour, and the itinerary notes saved me a lot of research. Good deal for a long weekend.

Picked them over two others

I looked at three different operators for a Lake District trip and this one came out on top for the price and clear itinerary. The lodge matched the description and the arrival was smooth. I'd say it was the most sorted of the lot.

disappointing hotel stay

Honest verdict: the hotel in Harrogate was not what the listing suggested, with a room facing the car park and a bathroom that needed a proper clean. I raised it with them and it took four days to get a reply. They did offer a partial refund eventually, but the whole thing left a sour taste after a long drive.

Cute barn stay

The barn conversion in Devon was the best bit, super cosy with a hot tub. The check in code arrived a bit late but it worked fine once it came through so no drama.

hotel was fine

Booked the Scarborough package, room was ok but the wifi kept dropping and the restaurant ran out of the breakfast I'd paid for. Took a while to get someone to sort it out on the app. Would be fine for a quick one.

Cottage in the peak district

We used their cottage package for our anniversary in the Peak District. The booking was simple and the cottage matched the photos. Our only gripe was that the parking instructions came through the day before and were a bit vague, so we spent twenty minutes circling the village. Otherwise the stay was lovely and we'd go back.

Nice stay, small hiccup

A pleasant few days in Llandudno. The hotel was comfortable and the staff were very polite. I would have liked the car parking arrangements to be made clearer when we booked, as we had to ask on arrival and it was a bit of a faff. Otherwise a good experience.

Needed a last minute break

My husband's mother had been unwell and we needed to get away for a few days without much planning, which is why I went looking for a short break. I have booked with them for about six years now and this was the easiest yet. I rang once, they sorted the dates and the hotel in Whitby within the hour. Everything went smoothly and the room was lovely.

Needed a cheap break fast

Needed somewhere cheap to go last minute for my mates birthday. Found a weekend away on the site, booked in about five mins. Everything turned up when it should and the place was sound. Would use again.

Lodge in the highlands

We picked the Highland lodge after looking at a couple of other operators, mainly because the photos and the map of the area looked more useful. The booking form was clear and the host sent directions the week before. Only minor issue was the heating took a while to warm up on the first night, but it was sorted by morning.

Better than booking direct

I had been comparing with booking the hotel myself and this package ended up cheaper once I added up train tickets and transfers separately. As a first time customer I was a bit nervous about the bundle, but the confirmation came through straight away and the info pack was clear. The Cornwall cottage was in the right village and the host was waiting for us. Good value for a family of four.

Easy choice in the end

I checked several sites before settling on this one, and the price and reviews of the hotels were the deciding factors. The Yorkshire Dales cottage was in a lovely spot and the house had everything we needed. Booking was simple and I'd happily use them again.

Booked a city break

I needed somewhere to go for my birthday and wanted something without planning it all myself. The booking took ages because I had to re-enter my details twice on the site. The hotel in Edinburgh was fine though, and the city centre location was handy for everything.

Brilliant, booked it all

Brilliant, booked a weekend in Bath for me and the missus and it all went through first time on the app. Hotel was spot on, breakfast included, no complaints. Easy refund option too if plans change. Would use again.

Decent price, slow confirmation

Needed a cheap getaway for the kids half term and they had a good deal on a Lake District lodge. The price was the main reason I went with them, and it was about 15 percent under the other sites. The confirmation email took a day to arrive, which made me nervous, but everything was in order when we got there.

good value for the money

I was after a cheap weekend in Brighton and booked the room only option, which was the one I wanted. The price was a little higher than the same room on a comparison site, but the flexible cancellation made up for it. Check in was quick and the room was clean.
