Needed somewhere accessible

We needed a short break that would suit my husband's knee, so I looked at several options before settling on this. The booking process was clear and I appreciated being able to ask about the rooms before paying. The hotel was on one level which made things much easier. I did find the final price a little higher than I'd seen elsewhere once extras were added, though it wasn't unreasonable.

Better than booking it myself

Tried sorting flights and hotels myself last year and it was a nightmare. This was way less faff, though the price was a touch higher than I'd hoped for the same kind of trip.

the cruise excursion

I booked the coastal excursion as part of a longer trip, and the pick up point was clearly described in the pack. The coach was comfortable though the seat reclined less than I'd hoped. Our guide was very knowledgeable.

the lodge was the highlight

The lodge we stayed in was the highlight, with a proper wood burner and views right down the valley. I know the area reasonably well from years of visiting, so I was checking the route against what I'd done before. Pickup from the station was on time and the guide's briefings were clear. Only quibble is the price of the extras felt steep.

Needed a break after exams

Needed a break after exams and didn't want to plan anything. Picked this off the site, booked in ten mins. Bit of a wait for the final itinerary email but fine.

better than booking it myself

Compared to trying to sort the flights and hotels myself last year this was far less faff. Booked on my phone during my lunch break and the confirmation came through straight away. Only niggle was the app kept logging me out.

About EF Adventures

EF Adventures is the adventure travel arm of EF Education First, offering small group trips, multi-day tours and active holidays across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. Its trips range from walking and cycling holidays to wildlife safaris, cultural tours and family adventures, with itineraries led by local guides. The company sells its holidays directly through its website and through a sales team that handles bookings and enquiries by phone and email.

Its customers are mainly independent travellers, families and groups looking for guided experiences with a degree of structure and a mix of activities and cultural encounters. Trips are sold as packages that include accommodation, transport and most meals, and the company publishes detailed trip information so travellers can compare routes and levels of difficulty before booking.
