Hot tub cottage in wales

Booked a cottage with a hot tub in mid Wales for a mate's stag weekend. Sorted it on my phone in the car on the way home from work. The place was spot on, hot tub was ready and the parking was good for the van. Owner left a bottle of something on the side.

tried another site first

Tried another holiday site first and it was much fussier about the payment. This one was quicker to book a cottage in the Highlands for a week. The problem was the host took two days to reply to my question about parking, and by then I had already sorted it myself. It was fine in the end but a bit slow.

Used the site for years

I have booked a cottage through here most years since about 2015, usually in Yorkshire. This time it was a cottage near Whitby with a walled garden, and the usual reliable process. The check-in details were sent a week before and the cottage was spotless. Nothing has changed, which is exactly why I keep coming back.

Bought a cottage for a week

Booked a cottage in Pembrokeshire for a week away with my wife and we paid a fair amount for it, but the place was good value for what you get. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfy. The only niggle was the check in time, which was a bit later than the listing said, so we had to wait around for the key. Still a decent holiday.

Better than the usual holiday sites

I have used the big holiday rental websites for years and found this one a more pleasant experience than most. Each cottage has a proper description and the photos are recent, which is more than I can say for some. Booked a cottage in the Forest of Dean and the owner was easy to deal with. The place was exactly as shown and very peaceful.

exactly what we needed for half term

We needed somewhere with a proper kitchen and a garden for the kids before half term and time was running out. We looked at three or four other holiday cottage sites first and kept coming back to this one because the photos matched the places and the search was easy to use. Booked a cottage in Northumberland for four nights and it was just right. The owner's welcome pack had local maps and a few good pub tips.

Much easier than the big sites

Compared with the large booking websites I had used before, this was a far more pleasant experience. The listings were not crowded with near identical places, and each cottage had a proper description of what you were getting. I booked a place in the Peak District for my wife's birthday and the confirmation came through straight away. The host replied to my questions within the hour, which I was grateful for. We will be using it again.

better than the big booking sites

I had used one of the large booking websites before and found the listings rather crowded and hard to tell apart. This site felt more considered, with each cottage described properly and the owner's details clearly shown. The booking process was simple and the confirmation arrived promptly. Our cottage in Devon was exactly as described and the host was most helpful.

Needed somewhere last minute

We needed a place for a last minute birthday trip to the coast and this came up first in the search. Booked a flat style cottage in Scarborough within about ten minutes, which was a relief. Everything was as listed and the keys were easy to collect. Would use again.

Sensible price for a family break

We needed a place to stay for a family week in Cornwall with three kids and a dog, and the budget was tight. Found a cottage on here that took the dog and had two bedrooms plus a sofa bed, priced well below the hotels we'd looked at. The booking took a few minutes and the deposit was clear. Worth it for what we paid.

Needed a cottage with a bit of space

We needed a place with a decent drive and a big enough garden for the dog, because most of the cheaper places in the Lakes are tiny. The search filters picked that up well. The cottage was the one we wanted, though the parking was a bit tighter than the photos suggested and the broadband was slower than advertised.

Would book again

Would book again, no question. Compared it with a couple of other holiday let sites and this one had the best range for the price. Booked a place in the Brecon Beacons for a long weekend and the place was clean and had good parking. Nothing to complain about.

Booking was quick but the wifi was patchy

Booked a cottage in Snowdonia on my phone while waiting for the kids to finish their tea, and the detail that stood out was how fast it loaded. Checkout took about two minutes. The cottage was lovely but the wifi was patchy in the back bedroom, which was a bit annoying when I needed to work. Otherwise a great spot for a few days.

Would book again

Would book again straight away. Booked a cottage in the Peak District for a long weekend and the listing was accurate in every way. Good spot near the trails and the hosts were quick to reply.

Booked a cottage in the lakes

Booked a cottage in the Lake District for a weekend with mates. Checkout was quick on my phone and the confirmation came straight away. Place was clean, hot tub worked, parking was easy. Would go again.

best of the ones I looked at

I'd say this was the best of the three sites I compared before booking. The price for the cottage in Northumberland was fair and the reviews from other guests were detailed and easy to read. Booking took a few minutes and the payment went through without fuss. We got a lovely quiet week by the coast and the host left a welcome basket.

Good stay, a few bits to sort

Would say it's a good place to find a cottage, especially if it's your first time booking one like this. The listing was clear and we got a booking in a day or so. Only minor thing was that the check-in instructions came through a bit late, the evening before we arrived. Otherwise the cottage was lovely and close to the coast.
