We needed somewhere to stay for my sister's wedding as most of the family were coming up from Devon. Booked a block of rooms directly with them and they were easy to deal with on the phone. The rooms were ready when we arrived and the staff helped with the late checkout for the wedding party. Breakfast was good and the bar was busy but well run. Booking was easy on the site. Price was a bit more than I'd have liked for what it was. Fine for a couple of nights but I'd probably look at other places next time.

Staff on reception were proper helpful when our card didn't work at first and sorted it straight away. Definitely going back for another weekend with the girls next month, so yeah.

The room was clean, the bed was comfy and the breakfast was properly hot. Checking in was quick and the receptionist remembered we'd asked for a late checkout. Would book again.

Compared with the big booking sites, booking direct with them has always been simpler and I get a better rate. I have stayed with them maybe a dozen times now. Rooms are clean and the staff remember us.
We booked the superior room for our anniversary and asked for a bottle of something on arrival. It was waiting in the room when we got in and the staff remembered our name. The room was spacious and quiet at night. We will definitely come back.
