Hyundai Power Equipment

Bought the 2kVA portable generator from them last month for running a pump on the allotment. Arrived in two days, fired up first pull, only thing is the pull cord is a bit stiff when cold so i had to wrestle it a bit this morning.

Honestly the best bit was how fast the whole thing went, ordered it Friday night and it turned up Tuesday. Used it at my mate's birthday in the garden to run the speaker and fairy lights and it never cut out once. Would get again, no complaints.

The plug on the lead was a bit fiddly to get seated in the socket first time round. Otherwise it's been fine, powers the chest freezer in the shed no bother.

The wheel kit that came with it is the thing I'd point to, it makes moving the thing around the yard far easier than I expected. I've bought from them a few times over the years and this is the one I'd happily buy again.

Got two quotes before picking this one, and the local dealer wanted nearly a third more for the same kW rating. The unit we bought has been running our small workshop without any faults since spring, and the site made the spec comparison easy to follow.

The one I bought arrived with a dent in the side panel and the courier had left it out in the rain. Sent a message and got a reply after two days, and they sorted a replacement, though it added a week I didn't really want.

Biggest thing for me is it's properly quiet, can sleep next to it no bother. Ran the fridge and charger in the van on a weekend away and had loads of battery left. Solid, would buy again.

Needed something to run the speaker and lights for our festival stall and nothing else was going to cut it. Ordered on the app and the bit I liked most was how quickly the tracking updated. Honestly it ran the whole weekend and the battery held up better than I thought it would.

Went for the inverter model for camping and van trips, after looking at a couple of cheaper petrol ones. It's quieter than I expected, though the carry handle is a bit flimsy and I'd want to check it before lifting it into the van.

Good value for a standby set, and it has done exactly what it says for our farmhouse during the cuts. Price was lower than the big name brands we looked at and the instructions were clear enough for my husband to set it up without ringing anyone.

The service schedule reminders are handy, I'd forgotten the oil change on my last unit and it went unnoticed for ages. I've been buying spares from them for about eight years now, and the parts list on the site is easy to search, though it took me a couple of goes to find the right filter.

Needed one fast after a power cut took out the freezer and the fridge. Ordered it at lunch and it was on my doorstep by the next afternoon, which saved the food.

Compared with the other site I had open, this one was about a fiftyish quid cheaper for the same spec and the delivery was included. Used it for a weekend festival and it ran all the lights and charger without any drama.

Needed it to keep the farm office and the router going when the supply dropped out for hours at a time. I know my way around these units from years of working on machinery, and the output is steady enough for the kit, but the noise under load is more than I'd like for an office next to the yard, and it could do with a better fuel cap.

Compared it against a rental quote for the building site and buying outright came out far cheaper over the job. Quick to order on the phone, and it has been running the site lights and compressor for six weeks without a single hiccup.

Does what it needs to, runs the lights and a fridge in my garage when the power goes. Took a while to get the first delivery sorted and i had to chase a text message, but it arrived and works fine.

Ordered on Monday morning and it was sorted by the afternoon, which is a lot quicker than the last place. Works well for the cottage when the power goes, and the price was fair compared with what I'd have paid locally.

The controller panel is clearer than most I've used, which is the detail that struck me first. I've been running these units on a few sites for years and I know what a decent display looks like. The output is steady and the fuel use is sensible for the size. The delivery was a day later than the estimate, and the courier wanted a signature from someone who wasn't in, so it went back to the depot for a day.

Compared it with a rival unit from a high street shop, and this one was quieter and cost less in the end. My first time buying from them and the checkout was easy, so I'd order from them again without thinking twice.
