Nothing like paying roaming

Compared with paying my network's daily roaming fee, this was nothing like the same money. My first time using an eSIM and the setup was easier than I expected. Got signal in Cyprus straight away and the top up was quick when I needed more. Happy with it.

Needed data for my trip

Needed data for a last minute trip to Dublin and didn't want to pay the ridiculous roaming fees. Set it up on the train to Heathrow and it just worked when I landed. Checked my usage in the app a few times, pretty handy. Would use again for sure.

Better than my old network

Compared with the roaming package my old network offered, this was much better value for our fortnight in Portugal. I was a little unsure about setting it up myself, but the steps on the screen were easy to follow. The data arrived straight away and I have had no problems since. I'm grateful for the simple arrangement.

The us plan i bought

I bought the US plan for a family trip to Florida and we've used it on two other holidays since. The eSIM was ready in my account straight after payment and the setup on my husband's phone was quick too. Reliable in the parks and the hotels, which was what mattered most to us. The only reason it isn't perfect is I wish the reminder about expiry came earlier.

Way better than swapping sims

Way better than swapping sims at the airport like I used to. Got the plan sorted on my phone at the gate and it was live before I got to Madrid. No rubbish about needing a paperclip. Works fine.

Still my go to after years

Honestly it's still the one I reach for, and I've been using them since they first started. Every trip I've taken in the last few years has gone through them, from Dublin weekends to a month in Japan. Topping up is quick, the app tells you clearly how much data you've got left, and the support team have always answered when I've needed them. Nothing has changed to make me want to look elsewhere. Good value and reliable.

ok but the signal dropped

Ok for the most part but the signal dropped a lot in the hills near Porto. Took me ages to find out it was the eSIM and not my phone. Support took a couple of days to reply to my email. Data was fine when it was working.

needed it for a festival abroad

Needed it for a festival in Croatia and didn't fancy paying the roaming rates. Install was easy but I did have to restart my phone before it kicked in. Data was good for the whole weekend though. Minor thing, would still get it again.

best way to stay connected abroad

Honestly the best eSIM I've used for travel, and I've tried a few. Set it up at home the night before flying to Lisbon, QR code scanned in about two minutes, and the data just worked the moment the plane landed. Topping up through the app is quick, and I switched between two plans on a trip to Japan without any faff. Had no dead spots anywhere I went.

Bought the 10gb plan for italy

I bought the 10GB plan for Italy as my first ever eSIM and was nervous about it. The install took a few minutes and the QR code scanned first time. Data started as soon as I landed in Rome, and it's been brilliant for maps and Instagram. Really happy with it.

Solid for anyone who travels

If you travel a lot and know your way round a phone settings menu, this is the one to get. The eSIM installs cleanly, switching plans in the app takes seconds, and I've never had a dropped connection in the USA or Australia. Support answered my one question the same day. Nothing more to say really.

Needed something for our holiday

We needed something reliable for our holiday to Italy as my husband cannot manage the old roaming settings. The eSIM was simple to fit on his phone with the help of the printed guide. Data worked from the moment we arrived in Florence. It made the trip considerably easier for us both.

needed it for frequent trips

I needed something for the trips to Germany I make every couple of months for work, and my old SIM swapping was getting tiresome. I have been using these for over two years now. Most of the time it is simple, but one top up failed to go through and it took two days for the site to sort it out. Still, I keep coming back because it works.

cheaper than the roaming charges

Compared with the roaming charges my network wanted, this was a far more sensible option for our week in Greece. The eSIM arrived in my account within minutes of paying, which was reassuring. The only small grumble is that the data ran out a little sooner than I had hoped, so I had to top up on the last two days. Otherwise it did the job nicely.

better value than my network

I compared three other eSIM providers and a roaming add-on from my network before choosing this one. The plan I got for Thailand was a good bit cheaper than the rest and the signup took about five minutes on my laptop. Once I was in Bangkok the data just came on without any fuss and I had decent speeds in the markets and on the train. Worth a look if you're going somewhere for a few weeks.

The bit about the qr code

What struck me first was how simple the QR code setup was, as I'd been dreading the phone settings. I scanned it at the kitchen table a week before our trip to Italy and it installed without bother. Once we were there the data kicked in as soon as we got off the plane. Not a single problem with the connection in towns or on the train, and I'm not easily pleased with gadgets.

The japan plan i got

The Japan plan I got was the first eSIM I have ever bought, so I was not sure what to expect. The QR code scanned on the first try and the data came through before I had even left the airport. I used maps all over Tokyo and Kyoto and it never let me down. Speeds were decent on the trains too, which I had worried about. Would definitely use them again for my next trip away.

Way cheaper than my network

Tried two other eSIM sites and a network roaming add-on before settling on this. The others were either dearer or the plans were confusing to read. This one just showed the country and the days, so I picked it and was done. Got my code in the email straight away and it worked when I got to Amsterdam.
