Best decision we made this year for my son's reading. I work in primary education so I know what a good tutor looks like, and these ones are the real thing. The lessons are structured, the feedback is specific, and he is finally reading for pleasure.
Read morePaid monthly for the reading package for my daughter and it works out cheaper than the tutoring centre in town. The sessions are fine, the materials are printed and posted out, and the app shows her progress. The only thing that annoyed me was that the first delivery of workbooks took nearly two weeks to arrive, so she started a bit later than we wanted. Sign up was quick enough.
Read moreHonestly the biggest thing for me was how fast they matched us with a tutor for my son's Year 9 maths, we had someone lined up within two days of me filling in the form. The booking page could be a bit clearer about which lesson slots are actually free, I had to message them to check twice. Sessions have been good so far and he seems more confident with fractions. Happy enough to carry on.
Read moreWe needed some extra help for my grandson after his school report came back worse than expected. I did find the sign up a little fiddly, as the form asked for the same details twice. Once we were through it the tutor has been very patient with him.
Way better than the free online homework sites my mates use, honestly. The tutor actually remembers what you got wrong last week. Only annoyance was the booking page timing out once but it sorted itself out.
We booked the 11 plus prep course for our youngest in the spring. The price is a bit higher than some of the smaller tutors nearby, but the practice papers are good quality. The first session started a few days later than the booking email said, which was a minor niggle.
I have used them for my three children over the last eleven years, and compared with the agency I used first they are far more organised. The reminders for each session arrive on time and the tutors have stayed consistent. The one thing I would change is the invoices, which could be clearer.
We needed a tutor quickly for our daughter before her mocks, so this was our first time using them. Signing up took a little longer than I hoped because the payment page kept logging me out. Once started, the tutor has been friendly and the sessions are well planned.
