sorted in one visit

Quick review from my phone, took the cover out last month and used it on Thursday when the immersion heater stopped working. Got through to a person quickly and the engineer arrived in the time slot they gave. Fixed in one visit and no surprise bill. Happy.

signed up for the drain cover

Got the drain cover on the app last month. Signing up took like two minutes, the app is dead easy to use. Had a blocked toilet a few weeks later and they sent someone round the same afternoon. Lifesaver tbh.

sign up was fine

Signing up was fine, the form asked for a lot of details but nothing unreasonable. Took a few days for the welcome pack to come through by post which was a bit slow. The cover has been good so far and I've not needed to claim.

Not as quick as the other lot

Compared with the emergency cover my brother uses, these took longer to get an engineer out. Waited nearly three hours for a call back about our leaking radiator. The job itself was fine once he arrived.

been with them for years

I've been on their home cover for about six years now and the renewal reminder by email is the bit I always notice first, it arrives well before the date so there's no scramble. Renewing took me a few minutes on the site. The only small niggle is that the renewal price went up a bit this year, though it's still fair.

The drain callout

The drain was blocked and the bath was backing up, and the first thing I did was log in to the app to see what I was covered for. It showed the callout straight away and let me book a slot for the next morning. The engineer rodded it clear and the app sent me a receipt after.

Needed cover after moving house

We had just moved into a rented flat and the landlord wanted proof of emergency plumbing cover. I compared a few providers before picking these. Signing up was straightforward and the policy documents came through by email the same day. Haven't had to claim yet but the phone line answered when I rang to check the details.

Compared with the old provider

Having compared these with the company I used before, I found their response times noticeably quicker. When I rang about our hot water going cold the operator was courteous and took my details without fuss. The engineer that attended was patient and explained the fault properly before he started work. I am content to stay with them.

Cheap and it works

Best value for emergency cover I could find in the area and that is the main reason I went with them. Monthly payment comes out on the same date every month and the price has not crept up. We used the call out for a burst pipe under the sink and the plumber was in and out in under an hour.

Better than the gas cover I had

I've had emergency cover for my home for a long time and these beat the gas cover I was on before, which mostly sent you to a call centre. Here the engineer who came out knew the boiler model without having to ask. Fair pricing and the job was done properly.

Pricier than the others but ok

I compared a few emergency plumbing cover providers before signing up and these were a bit more expensive per month than the cheapest. Signing up was a bit fiddly, I had to upload a copy of our gas safety certificate twice. The cover itself has been fine and the engineer who came out on our frozen pipe was good.

Needed something quick after the flat flooded

Our upstairs neighbour's pipe burst and water came through our kitchen ceiling on a Sunday night, so I needed an emergency plumber fast. I looked at a few cover options before picking these because they had a clear page on what's included and no waiting period I could see. The app let me sign up in one go and the cover was live the same afternoon, which was the main thing for me.

First time needing it

We needed emergency cover as first time homeowners and the lender-backed rules meant we had to get something sorted fast. Signing up through the website took maybe fifteen minutes and the documents arrived by email straight away. Our first call out was for a drain that backed up and the engineer had us running again within two hours. Impressed for a first go.

Booked my first callout

Booked my first ever callout with them after our bathroom extractor fan stopped working and the ceiling started going damp. I was a bit nervous as I'd never used a service like this before but the booking page walked me through each step. The engineer arrived in the slot they promised and sorted the fan the same day. Would use again.

The app is sound

The app thing is what got me. You can book a callout and see the engineer on a map, pretty cool. Used it for a leaking tap at my mate's flat and the guy was there in 40 mins. No complaints, would use again.

the callout time was the deciding factor

The first thing I noticed was how clearly they showed the expected arrival window when I booked the boiler callout, which I hadn't seen with the other companies I checked. I'd compared three providers before picking them and two of the others gave vague answers. The engineer arrived within the window and sorted the pressure fault in under an hour, so the choice felt right.

My boiler went on a cold morning

The boiler packed in on a freezing Tuesday morning and I had no hot water or heating, so I rang the number on the site first. The lady on the phone took my details and booked an engineer for the same day, which I didn't expect. He turned up mid-afternoon, fixed the ignition fault and explained what he'd done without making me feel daft. The cover paid for the call out, I just had to show the confirmation email.

The boiler cover

I would like to say that the boiler cover I took out with them has been a comfort this winter. The engineer who attended my call was courteous and took the time to explain what had failed. He fitted the replacement part there and then, and I was not charged for the call out. I am pleased with the service.

Good value for the money

They are the best value I found for emergency electrics cover in our area. The monthly cost is lower than what our previous provider charged for less. Booking took about ten minutes online and I had a confirmation email straight away. When we had a tripped circuit in February the engineer arrived within the window and fixed it on the spot, no extra charge for parts.

Better than the bigger brand

I know this area of home cover well from years of dealing with boiler policies, and compared with the bigger national brand these are far more direct. The bigger brand made me wait on hold for ages whereas here I got a human straight away. The engineer knew his stuff, replaced a faulty diverter valve, and the price stayed the same as quoted. Worth a look if you are shopping around.
