Chrysalis Courses Online

Needed twelve hours of CPD for my renewal and this covered all of it in one go. Signing up took about five minutes and I was into the first module the same evening. The videos are short enough to fit into a lunch break, and the completion certificate landed in my inbox before I'd even closed the tab. Exactly what I needed.

I would say the price is fair for what you get, which is a decent refresher course in safeguarding with plenty of reading and a short exam at the end. The only thing that let it down was the login, which kept timing me out halfway through a module and meant I had to start again. Once I got past that it was a sound course and I passed first time.

I needed a first aid certificate quickly for a new job starting on the Monday. I booked the online course on a Thursday evening and had it finished by the Saturday. The assessment was straightforward and the certificate came through by email the same day I passed, which was exactly what I needed.

Compared to the other online course sites I looked at this one felt a bit clunkier to sign up on, took me about ten minutes to find where to pay. Once I was in the course material loaded fine and the tutor's first reply to my question came after two days, which was a bit longer than I expected.

The certificate for my food hygiene course arrived as a PDF within a day of finishing the last quiz, which I didn't expect. The modules were clear and the quizzes weren't trick questions. Only niggle was the login timing out once while I was halfway through a module, so I had to start that section again.

Compared with the evening class at my local college this is much easier to fit around my week, I can do the modules on a Sunday afternoon with a cup of tea. I've been with them for a few years now for different bits of training and the account still remembers where I got to last time. The price has crept up a little since I started but it's still cheaper than the college was and I've no real complaints.

Needed a short course for my uni application so I went with this one. Took ages to get the login sorted, emailed them twice and it was a few days before anyone replied. Course itself was ok.

I bought the bookkeeping course during a sale and it paid for itself on the first module alone. The videos are short, you can download the workbook, and I could go back over bits without paying anything extra. For the money I got a lot of useful stuff and I would do it again.

I would say this is an excellent place to study if you want proper courses taught in a sensible way. I signed up for an online course in local history last spring and the materials were clear, the tutor replied to my questions within a day, and the certificate arrived promptly once I had finished. I have no complaints at all and I have already enrolled on a second course.

Bought the level 2 English course for my sister and it was cheaper than the others I checked. Videos are a bit dated but it does the job, and the progress tracker is handy. Only small gripe is the mobile app is clunky.
