Clear and sensible for the grandchildren

What struck me first was how carefully the films are pitched for children, with no fuss and no nonsense. I bought a subscription for my grandson who is struggling with fractions, and I have been pleasantly watching over his shoulder. The quizzes give a clear picture of where he is going wrong. I did not find the account set-up tricky, which I rather feared I would.

Fine but pricey

We needed something to help our son catch up on reading over the summer and this was recommended by a friend. The videos are decent but for what we pay I expected a bit more practice material. The account page was a bit fiddly to find the cancel option when we wanted to switch plans. It does its job but I'd look around before committing.

Cheaper than the tutor

I compared this against a local maths tutor and the difference in cost is huge, so this was the obvious pick for us. You do get a lot of videos for the money, though the rate goes up after the first year and that stings a bit. Signing up was simple and the content plays fine on the telly.

does the job

It's a sensible way to get the kids doing some extra reading and maths for the money. The renewal price went up a bit more than I expected though. Otherwise no real complaints.

My little cousin loves it

Honestly the cartoons are way better than I thought they'd be. My cousin uses it after school and asks for it by name now. Signing up on my phone was dead easy and it just works.

Went with this in the end

I looked at a few other children's learning sites before picking this one, mostly because the others wanted a card up front for a trial. The science and history videos are the reason we stayed, and my nephew asks to watch them. The login just works and the videos load quickly on our laptop.

Better than the free stuff

We tried the free video site first but my son kept getting pulled into adverts and random clips, so I signed up here on a whim. The animated films are short and clear and he actually watches them now without me hovering. Signing up took about two minutes and the trial was easy to start. Would be a five if the quizzes loaded a bit quicker on our old tablet.

needed it for the spelling

My youngest was falling behind on spelling and the school suggested something to practise at home. We have used this for years now and the games keep her coming back. Logging in is quick and she can do it herself.

Not what it was

Used this for my daughter's homework for about three years and it used to be brilliant. The newer videos feel thinner and a lot of the topics we needed had gone or were tucked behind a higher tier. When I emailed about it the reply took nearly a week and was pretty generic. Renewal came round and we have decided to let it lapse.

The science bundle

Got the science bundle for the kids a few years back and we have been on it ever since. The experiment videos are the best bit, the lads actually want to watch them before school. The site has been solid, rarely a glitch, and I like that I can see what they have covered. Renewal is simple and the price has stayed put.
