About Nubia

Nubia is a smartphone brand owned by ZTE, and it designs and sells mobile phones with a focus on camera performance and gaming features. Its range centres on Android handsets sold under the Nubia name, with several model lines aimed at photography enthusiasts and mobile gamers. The brand sells through its own international website and through selected online and retail partners in a number of markets.

Nubia's customers are people who want flagship-style hardware and a strong camera without paying premium prices from the largest manufacturers. The company supports its devices with software updates and a service network that varies by region, so buyers should check local availability before purchasing.

better value than the big networks

Having used one of the larger networks for many years, I was surprised at how much less I was paying with this provider for what is essentially the same service. I signed up on the website, which was clear and straightforward, and my SIM arrived the next working day. The coverage around my home in the Midlands is perfectly adequate and I have had no dropped calls to speak of, so I am content to stay put.

network holds up on the commute

Coverage on the train line is usually patchy but the signal stays solid from my house to the station. Ported my number across in a couple of days, no fuss, and the new SIM worked straight away. Data speeds drop a bit in the evening but nothing I'd complain about at this price.

needed a backup line

I needed a second line for the business after my main one went down during a storm. Got it sorted through their site in an afternoon. The coverage is decent but the signal drops inside one of our rooms, so I've had to use wifi calling. Still, it does what I needed.

Needed a cheap plan for uni

Needed a cheap plan for uni after my contract ran out and this has been fine. Sim arrived quick and the data is enough for my needs, although I did find the add-on prices a bit steep compared with other sites.

Fine but not the cheapest

I looked at three providers before picking this one and it wasn't the cheapest on the list. The plan itself does the job and the signal is fine where I live. Getting the first bill sorted took a few back and forth emails though, and I still think a couple of the add-ons are overpriced compared with others.

Better than the big names

Compared with the bigger networks I used before, this is cheaper for the same data and the coverage is about as good where I live. I know the market pretty well from my last job in telecoms, and the plan terms are cleaner than most. The app is simple and the bills are accurate.

sim plan with fair data

Went with the 40GB sim only plan on the site as I was new to the network and wanted to try before committing to anything long term. The sim turned up after two days and was easy to activate, but the first top up didn't show in the app until the next morning which was a bit annoying. Data speeds are good and I've not run out yet. Support was helpful when I asked about roaming.

Really easy to get going

Signing up was quicker than I expected, took about ten minutes on the site and my SIM arrived the next working day. Got connected the same afternoon and the data is fast enough for gaming and streaming. Would sign up again.

got a new sim sorted quickly

Bought the 20GB plan on the site while waiting for a bus and the SIM was in the post the next morning. Popped it in, it worked straight away and the speeds are decent. Only thing is I had to restart my phone to get signal the first time, but that was it.

Glad i picked these

Went with these after looking at four other options, and it's the one I'd pick again. The sign up was dead simple on the site and I had the SIM within two days. The data is generous for the money and the signal in my flat is steady. The only small thing is the customer chat took a while to answer once, but nothing that's made me want to switch.

cheap and no faff

Signed up on the app on the bus and it took about five minutes. Sim came the next day, data works fine on my phone and the plan is cheap enough that I stopped checking my bank every month. Only thing is the app is a bit slow to load sometimes but otherwise fine for what I need. Would do it again.

Sim card arrived quickly

I ordered a replacement SIM after misplacing my old one, and it arrived within two days, which I thought was very prompt. The instructions were clear and the card was activated without any trouble. I was grateful for the helpful phone advisor who checked everything with me.

Needed a cheap sim

I needed a cheap SIM for my mum's phone so she could stop paying the old provider's rates. Got a 20GB plan through the site and it was sorted in a few minutes. Good value.

still good after all these years

Still with them and still happy, which says something after this many years. The bill is what I expected every month and the app lets me check my usage without ringing anyone. The only thing I'd change is the length of time it takes to get through to a person when there's a problem.

Broadband install took ages

I needed a new broadband connection at home as my old line was unreliable, and I was told the engineer would come within ten days. In the end it took almost three weeks and I had to phone twice to chase it. When the line was finally installed the engineer was pleasant and the speed is reasonable, but the delay was very frustrating and I did not receive any update for a week.

Better than my last network

Better than my last network by a mile, the signal in the flat is actually usable now. Switching over was painless and I didn't lose my number. Price is about the same as before, so no complaints there.

Been with them for years

Been with them for years now and the one thing I keep coming back to is how the monthly bill has barely moved, which is rare. Customer service has always been fine when I've needed them, even if the hold music on the phone line is a bit much. My only gripe is the app keeps asking me to log in again every few days, which gets tedious, but otherwise I've no reason to leave.

sim only deal that does the job

I bought the sim only plan with 30GB and it's exactly what I needed for work and the odd film on the train. The price is lower than the big names and there's no contract to worry about. Topping up is simple in the app. Nothing to complain about for the money.

Happy with my plan

Happy with the plan and I've been on it a long time now. Bill is the same every month which is exactly what I want. Customer service picks up quickly when I ring.
