Better than the old catalogue

Compared with the catalogue I used to order from, the website is far easier to use and I can see the full range without flicking through pages. I have been a customer for well over twenty years and the quality of the underwear has stayed consistent. Delivery has always been reliable for me.

Needed a new bra

I needed a new bra after my old ones had lost all their support and my usual brand was out of stock. The fitting guide on the site helped a lot, though the cup sizing is a bit different from what I am used to. The bra itself is comfortable and the seams are not digging in. Delivery was a day later than the estimate but otherwise fine.

Needed a school jumper fast

Needed a school jumper for my son who had grown out of everything over the summer and the school uniform shop was sold out of his size. Ordered on a Sunday evening through the site, it arrived Tuesday morning, quality is better than I expected for the price and the sizing chart was spot on. Checkout was easy too, saved my card details which made the second order even quicker.

My usual lunch order

I have been using the food delivery service for a long time and the Sunday roast kit is the thing I order most. It arrives chilled in good time, with clear instructions on the box. The portions have stayed the same size over the years, which I appreciate.

the same bra size as always

I've been ordering my underwear from them for about twenty years, and the bras in my usual size were still exactly the same fit as last time. I had a little trouble finding my size on the new website because the menus have been moved about, but once I found the right section it was simple enough. Delivery was quick and the parcel arrived when they said it would.

grocery order sorted

Picked up my weekly food shop from the store using the app and the bags were all there. One of the bananas was a bit bruised but everything else was fine. Took about ten minutes to order.

Better than the other big stores

Compared with the other big department stores I have tried online, this site is much quicker to get round and the filters actually work. I ordered a jacket and a pair of boots and both were exactly as pictured. The checkout had no fuss and I had my confirmation straight away.

Bedding that arrived faded

I bought a duvet set in a navy shade that looked lovely on the screen. When it arrived the colour was noticeably paler than the photo, almost a greyish blue, and the cover had a small mark on the corner. Customer services replied after two days and offered a refund, but sending the set back took a while to organise. It is a clear disappointment, and I doubt I will be buying bedding from them again.

Needed a birthday gift in a rush

Needed a birthday present for my mum with only three days to go and no time for the shops. Looked at a couple of other sites first but this one had the gift wrapping option and next day delivery at a reasonable price. Everything came on time and wrapped nicely.

Good value knitwear

Bought a cardigan in the winter sale and the price was hard to argue with. It is heavier than I expected and has kept me warm on the commute. Two washes in and it has not pilled, which is more than I can say for some of my other stuff.

Compared with the supermarket

I'd been buying my knitwear from the supermarket for years, so I did wonder whether the M&S version would be much better. It is a little dearer, but the wool feels softer and it has held its shape after several washes. The site was clear enough to navigate, though I did find the filters a touch fiddly.

Delivery took forever

Ordered some socks and a t-shirt and the delivery took nearly a week, which was longer than the site said. The socks are decent and the price was good, but nobody told me about the delay until I checked the tracking myself. Would be better if they sent an email when something is held up.

Sent this for my sister

Needed a last minute birthday card and a candle for my sister and it was all in the app. Ordered on the bus and it was ready at the store the next afternoon. Super quick.

Pricier than the high street but decent

Compared with the big supermarket chains the prices are higher on a lot of the food and home stuff, so you need to keep an eye out for offers. I bought a set of tea towels and a casserole dish during a promotion and they were fine. The checkout worked fine but the delivery slot I wanted was booked up for the whole week, so I had to pick a less convenient one. Still reasonable value for what you get.

Great first order

Honestly the best way to describe it is that everything worked first time. Ordered a pair of trousers and a shirt, the tracking updated properly and the parcel came the next morning. The trousers fit exactly as the size guide said and the stitching looks solid after a few wears.

quick and easy for a last minute gift

Really easy, the site let me pick a gift card and send it straight to my brother's email in about two minutes. The gift card arrived within minutes and he got it the same afternoon. Didn't have to queue anywhere which was a relief.

App ok but slow to load

Good for a quick top up of basics but the app is slow to load on my phone and it kept logging me out. Ordered a pair of joggers and a hoodie, both came in a couple of days which was fine. Prices are a bit higher than Primark though so I only buy when there's a code going. Would use again for sure when I've got a voucher.

the free returns label in the box

The free returns label printed inside the lid of the box is the detail I liked most, no hunting for a printer or a postage receipt. I sent back a dress that was the wrong length and the refund hit my account within a few days. Nice and simple from start to finish.

The free delivery threshold got me

Ordered a set of bath towels and a pair of pyjamas on the site on my lunch break. What stood out most was that the free delivery kicks in over a certain spend and I was just under it so had to add a random jar of chutney. The towels are lovely and thick, arrived in two days, and the site was easy to use on my phone.

Sensible prices for everyday stuff

I shop here for basics because the prices are sensible and I don't have to pay for delivery over the minimum spend. A pack of pyjamas and a pair of slippers arrived in good order. I check the sales page every week and usually find something worth getting.
