The cover for her hip problems is better though, and the old firm had a limit on that I'd forgotten about until I read the new policy. I did have to chase them once because a form didn't reach me, and the reply took two days. Still happy with the choice.
Honestly this is a good policy for the money and I'm glad I went with them. The cover for my old Labrador's vet bills has been straightforward so far and the monthly payment comes out without any fuss. I'd be happy to renew with them next year.
Compared with the other two pet insurers I looked at this one came out cheaper for the same level of cover, which is what got me. The quote was quick and the cover for my terrier's dental work is spelled out well. The only thing that bugged me was the claim form had to be posted in the end, which felt a bit old fashioned.
The excess is higher than I'd like, and the monthly price is in line with the cheaper ones I looked at, so it's not a bargain. What I do like is that the cover for dental work is included without paying extra. Claim forms are easy to fill in and the money went into my account within the week.
