What I liked most was that the listing had a full set of photos showing each room from several angles. We booked a cottage in the Lakes and the actual place matched them closely. The host was friendly and sent directions the day before. Easy to use and no surprises.

Got to the hotel and it wasn't the one in the photos, it was across the road and a bit tired looking. Still had a decent few days though, so not the end of the world. Would probably use them again tbh.
I've used them for about six years and I still find they're cheaper than the big sites for the same hotels, usually by a few quid a night. The downside lately is the support, I emailed about a change to my dates and it took three days to get a reply, which was annoying when I needed an answer quickly. Booking itself is still easy enough.
