Beat the other options I looked at

I compared three or four savings accounts before picking this, and it paid the highest rate on a fixed term. The other banks wanted branch visits or a lot of paperwork, whereas this was done online in one sitting. Interest is paid as the term goes on, which is nice to see building up.

Really happy with my first account

Honestly this is the account I should have opened years ago. Signing up took me about twenty minutes including finding my ID, and the money from my bank came through the next working day. I like that I can check my balance and interest in the app whenever I want, which is brilliant for someone who usually forgets about savings until the end of the year.

Checked three others first

Went through a few easy access and fixed options before settling on this one because it paid the most on a one year term at the time. The application asked for the usual ID and address details and I had a yes within two days. The money showed in my account the next morning and the balance updates in the app as soon as interest gets added. Easy to get on with.

Dead easy and the rate is good

Best savings thing I've done in ages, sign up was dead easy on the app. Money went in and the interest is actually decent. Would tell mates to check it out.

Better than my old current account

Switched my spare cash over from my old current account while on the bus. The rate here is way better than the pittance I was getting before. Transfers in and out are quicker than I expected too, couple of hours usually.

sent my cash across in minutes

Sent money to my savings from my current account and it showed up in the app in like ten minutes. The only thing is the site loaded a bit slow on my phone when I was checking the rate. Otherwise no issues and the interest is decent.

First time opening a savings pot

I opened my first savings pot with them last month and wasn't sure what to expect. The sign up asked for a few ID bits and I had to wait a day for the check, which was a bit slow. After that everything went smoothly and the interest is paid monthly into my account. A bit of a wait at the start but I'm happy with it.

fixed term, easy transfer

Opened a two year fixed on the app and the transfer in from my current account cleared within the hour. Interest is shown monthly in the app and the maturity options are clear. Nothing to complain about.

Not as simple as my old building society

I'm used to dealing with my building society in person, so this was a different way of doing things for me. Compared with my old account the online setup took a little longer to understand, and I did have to ring them once to confirm a transfer. Staff were polite when I did get through, though the wait was a bit long. The interest is fair, and the money arrived when they said it would.

opened a fixed saver on the app

Opened a fixed saver on the app last week. Took maybe ten minutes and the money went in straight from my current account. Rate looks fine so far, will see how it goes at the end of the term.

needed an account for my savings

I needed somewhere to keep my emergency money that paid better than my high street account, so I went looking. The rate on the notice account is good for what it is and there are no monthly fees to worry about. Easy to move money in and out when I need to.

took ages to get verified

Account got stuck in identity checks for almost a week before I could fund it, which was annoying when I was trying to move money before the end of the month. I uploaded my passport and a utility bill and then heard nothing until I messaged the chat. Once it was sorted the money landed fine and the app works well. Just be ready to wait if you're in a hurry.

Sensible rate for my pension money

I needed a safe place to put a lump sum from my pension, as the bank rate had dropped to almost nothing. The savings rate is sensible and the account is easy enough to manage online. There's a small bit of fiddling with the app but nothing I couldn't handle.

rate beats my old bank

Best rate I could find for a one year fixed and the whole thing took me about ten minutes on my phone while waiting for the kettle to boil. Money went in from my current account the same day and I could see it in the app straight away. Withdrawal at maturity is booked in the app too so I'm not worried about forgetting. Definitely sticking with them for the next pot.

Good rate for my money

I'd been sitting on cash in a current account earning nothing, so I wanted something that paid properly. The fixed rate saver beat what my bank was offering by a fair margin. Opening it took a couple of goes because a form field wouldn't take my postcode but support sorted it fast enough. Would still pick it again.

needed somewhere to save my wages

I wanted somewhere to stash my wages each month so I wasn't tempted to spend them. The account was easy to set up on my phone. The rate is OK but my mate got a bit more elsewhere so I might look around next time.

best rate on the market for the term

Savings rates are my hobby and this one is competitive for a one year fixed. The interest is paid at maturity and the account terms are easy to read. Nothing hidden in the small print that I could find.

much better than my old provider

Moved from another bank's savings account that paid almost nothing, so this was a big step up for me. Signing up was a lot quicker than I was expecting, just a few screens. Money arrived as promised and I can see everything clearly in the app.

the app showed my balance straight away

The first thing I noticed was the balance showing in the app the moment the money landed, no waiting around for a statement. I hadn't done online savings before so I was a bit nervous. Everything was clear and I was able to set up the account without help. Glad I took the plunge.

Easy fixed rate saver

Opened a fixed rate saver for a year on the app, took like five mins to sign up. Money came out of my account the same day and the interest rate is pretty decent compared to my old bank. Only thing is the app is a bit clunky when you try to check old statements but otherwise sorted.

About Raisin

Raisin is a financial platform that lets savers in the United Kingdom access deposit accounts and savings products from a range of banks across Europe through a single online account. The company describes its model as a deposit marketplace, where customers can compare rates and open accounts with partner institutions without having to register separately with each bank. The service is delivered entirely online through a web and mobile experience, with savings held with the partner banks and protected under the relevant national deposit guarantee schemes.

Raisin's customers are people looking to put their money to work in fixed term and instant access deposits and who prefer to manage their savings in one place. The company is known for its focus on savings and investment products rather than current accounts or lending, and it sets out its terms, eligibility and the protections that apply to each partner bank in its published documentation.
