prepaid card for the cruise

I bought a prepaid card for our cruise round the Greek islands, which my husband and I had been planning for a long while. The staff at the branch were patient in explaining how the card worked and how to top it up if needed. It was all very straightforward and we didn't have to worry about bank charges on the trip.

Quick and cheap

Rates are better than the bank for sure. Ordered on my phone in the car park before a flight to Italy and the cash was waiting at the branch when I got there. Card top up was dead easy too, just wish the app loaded faster on my old phone.

Compared it with the post office counter

Compared it with simply going to the counter at my local branch for my usual trip and this was noticeably better on the rate, so I switched. Ordering online was straightforward and I could see the amount and fees before paying. Collected the cash from the branch a couple of days later and the cashier double checked the notes with me. Happy with it so far.

currency card top up

The top up on the travel money card is what sold me, you can load it from the app in a couple of minutes and the rate shown is the rate you actually get. I have used it for three work trips to Germany and Austria now, and I check the live rate before I load it each time.

first time ordering euros

First time I ordered euros online and I was surprised how easy it was, the site told me exactly when they'd be ready to collect from my branch. I went in the next morning, the lad at the counter had them waiting in an envelope with my name on it and that was that.

Prepaid card for the cruise

Got a prepaid card for a cruise around the Med because I wanted to keep my spending off my main account. Loaded it online and checked the balance on the app, which was spot on. Used it in several ports without any problems and the top up option was easy when I was running low.

The card top up

Used the prepaid card for a business trip to Dubai and the top up feature is what I rely on. Loaded the card online before I left and checked the balance through the app. Worked at every cash machine I tried and the fees were what I expected.

Prepaid card for our trip

Bought a prepaid travel card for our honeymoon in Thailand and it saved us a fortune against the bank card fees. Loaded it up online, the balance showed on the app straight away. Topped up once more mid trip and it worked fine at the cash machines.

better than the high street bureau

Compared it to the bureau on the high street and this came out cheaper by a fair bit on the day. Ordered yen for a Japan trip and collected at the branch the day after. Clear fees, nothing hidden in the small print that I could see.

Way better than the airport

Compared it to the currency booth at the airport and it was miles better, the airport rate was just daft. Ordered dollars on the app for a trip to NYC, picked them up at the high street branch the next day. Easy, quick, and no faff with the cash.

Needed cash for a festival

Needed some cash for a festival in Portugal and didn't want to pay the airport rip off. Ordered on the app and picked it up at my local branch on the way to the station. Done in five mins, no drama.

Best rate i found for euros

Best rate I found for euros when I checked the others on my phone. Ordered it from the app on the bus, collected at the branch two days later before my Ibiza trip. Would use again for sure, the fees are clear and I didn't get charged anything extra.

needed euros for a wedding

I needed some euros for a wedding in Ireland, though I realise they are sterling, so I did not expect any trouble. The branch staff were courteous and talked me through the exchange rate in a patient manner. I was given the cash the same day and the whole thing was done with little fuss.

best rates for cash abroad

Honestly the best rates for cash abroad I have found in years, and I have used them for every trip to Spain since 2015. The rate shown on the day is the rate you get, no nasty surprises at the counter. Ordered my euros online, collected them at my local branch in about ten minutes and the staff knew exactly what they were doing with the paperwork.

Better than the bank

Compared with my bank's currency exchange, this came out ahead on the rate every time I've used it, which has been most summers for about ten years now. The only thing that put me off was that the order took two working days to arrive by post when I wanted cash for a trip the next week.

Best option of the lot

This is the best option of the lot, I compared three providers before picking it. The rate was clearly better than the others and the fees were easy to find. Ordered the currency for a trip to Canada and it was ready at the branch on time.

good rate but slow to reply

Needed some euros for a school trip with the kids, so I went with them because the rate was good. Ordering was simple and the cash was ready at the branch when I got there. Only thing is I had a question about the order and it took a couple of days to get a reply, which was a bit annoying.

The rate board in branch

The rate board in the branch was the first thing I noticed and it was clear what I was getting. Ordered a bit of cash for Greece, sorted in a few minutes. Staff were nice and didn't try to upsell me on anything.

Needed cash for festival

Needed euros for a festival in Spain so I ordered them ahead, didn't fancy the airport prices. Got them in the post in a couple of days and the rate was decent.
