required for my pension review

I required a clear record of my investments for a pension review, and this gave me exactly that. The annual report is laid out sensibly and I was able to print it off without any fuss. The customer letters were courteous and I appreciated that.

Compared a few before picking

I looked at three other providers first and this one came out ahead on the total cost once I'd added up the fund fees. Signing up took a bit longer than the others but the ISA transfer went through fine. Would pick them again.

Better than my bank's version

Compared with the investment section on my bank's app, this is far more useful for seeing what I actually own. I can drill into each holding and see the fees without hunting around. Setting up the account was straightforward and I've not had any reason to complain since.

Cheaper than the high street bank

It's cheaper than the high street bank I had my pension with, which was the whole point of switching. The only thing I'd flag is the app can be slow to load when I'm on mobile data. Otherwise it's fine and the fees are easy to understand.

the portfolio view is handy

I've been looking at the portfolio view each month and it's very clear. The fund names and percentages are easy to read and the graph shows the mix at a glance. A small niggle is that the export to spreadsheet could be neater, but otherwise I'm content.

needed proper fund research

I needed somewhere to check fund performance properly because my old adviser retired and I was left guessing. The screener lets me filter by fees, risk rating and sector, which is exactly how I like to look at things. The data is detailed and I trust the numbers.

Needed a clear annual statement

I needed a clear annual statement for my accountant and this provided it without any bother. The figures are laid out in a way that makes sense and I was able to send them on the same day. Very pleased with how straightforward it was.

the research tools are excellent

Strong research tools, and I know this area well having spent years reading fund factsheets. The comparison pages let me line up two funds side by side with the ratings, holdings and fees in one view. I use it most weeks and the data is current.

Bought a global index fund

Bought a global index fund after comparing a few platforms, and this one had the lowest total cost once I'd added everything up. I like that I can buy in small amounts and set up a regular monthly investment. The fund details page gives me everything I need before I commit, which saved me a lot of time.

Cheaper than my old platform

Compared with the platform I was using before, this is noticeably cheaper once you add up the platform charge and the fund fees. The app is a bit clunky when you switch between accounts, and I had to chase one dividend query by email. Still, the savings are real.

Cheap to run, no nonsense

Cheap to run compared with a lot of rivals, and that's the main reason I'm still here. I pay a flat small fee, the funds are low cost, and there are no surprise charges on the statements. Signing up took a morning and the account was open within a week.

switched my savings over

I opened a Morningstar account to move my ISA over after comparing a few providers, mainly because the fees on the others were a bit cheeky for what you actually get. The transfer took about three weeks and the statements are clear enough that I can follow where my money is sitting without needing a finance degree.

fees are low and it just works

The fees are the first thing I noticed, the monthly charge is lower than my last provider and there's no minimum to start. Opening the account took about ten minutes online and my ISA transfer came across in under three weeks, which was quicker than I expected. Tracking everything in one place has saved me a lot of messing about.

Needed a way to track my funds

I needed a way to track my funds in one place after moving some money around. The site is informative and the tools are useful, but it took me a fair while to work out how to set up the watchlist. The support reply to my question came after a few days, which was slower than I'd hoped.

fees went up with no warning

I've been a customer for a long time, so the fee change caught me off guard. The new charge was added without much notice and it took a couple of phone calls to get a clear answer about what I'd be paying. The statements are fine, but I expected better communication from a firm this established.

Bought a fund on the app

Bought a tracker fund on the app on the bus, took about four minutes. The money showed up in my account the next working day. Nice and simple, and I could see the charges before I hit confirm, which was the bit I cared about.

Useful data but a bit dense

The data is what I noticed first, and it's very detailed, almost too detailed for a quick look. I know my way around financial terms so I could follow it, but it took a while to find the bit I wanted. It does the job, though it could be friendlier for someone newer to this.

App is pretty good

Honestly the app is pretty good for keeping an eye on things. It's quick to log in and the notifications don't bug me. Only thing is the fund search takes a second to load, but it's fine.

Good value for the money

Good value, and that's the main reason I stuck with them. The fund fees are lower than what I was paying before, the reports arrive when they should, and I haven't had to ring anyone yet. Would be a fair pick for anyone who wants to be left alone to get on with it.
