Still using it after two years

Still a good service after two years, and I'd happily carry on. The weekly plan arrives when it should and the portions are about right for me. The only thing that bugged me this time was the app being slow to update my preferences, but it sorted itself out after a day.

Slow to get going

Signed up last week and the first plan took a while to show up, which was annoying as I'd paid already. Once it arrived it was fine, the recipes are easy enough. I'd have liked a quicker reply when I asked how to change my start date.

The weekly check ins

The weekly check in call with a coach is the bit I'd keep if I had to choose. Mine was always on time and the coach remembered what we'd talked about last week. The app itself is a little clunky to navigate and it took me a while to find where to change my plan, so I'd want that sorted.

The monthly consultation package

I bought the monthly consultation package in January and have used the calls every month since, usually with the same coach. The calls are unhurried and the coach gives practical suggestions rather than lectures. The price is fair for what you get, and I've been able to keep track of my progress without much effort, which is exactly what I wanted.

The recipe swap feature

The recipe swap feature is the best thing about it, I can change a dinner in two taps when I'm stuck at work. Food arrived fine and the portions fill me up. Quick review as I'm on the bus.

Needed something gentle for my knees

My physio suggested I look at a nutrition plan that would help me keep my weight down and my joints happier, and this was recommended to me by a friend in the same position. I was a bit wary of signing up online, but the process was clear and I was asked sensible questions about my health. The guidance has been measured and realistic, and I've lost weight without feeling hungry.

Cheaper than the gym route

I'd been paying for a personal trainer and it worked out a lot more than this. The plan here does a similar job for a fair bit less each month. Signing up took about ten minutes and the first week's plan came on time. Slight niggle that the price goes up after the introductory period.

the low fodmap plan

I bought the low FODMAP starter plan because I've had IBS for years and know the elimination phase well. The recipes are sensible and the substitutions listed are accurate, which isn't always the case. The only thing I'd change is the portion guidance, which I found a bit generous for my needs.

The meal plan bundle

Bought the six week meal plan bundle last spring and have used it on and off since. The recipes are simple and the shopping lists are accurate. I'd go back for it again.

the diabetes friendly plan

I bought the diabetes friendly plan after my GP referred me, and I know the carb counting side well from years of managing it myself. The meal ideas are reasonable but the carb values listed for some of the sauces look a bit low to me, so I double check them. The reply to my question about that took three days, which was slow, though it was helpful when it came.

compared with a private clinic

I looked at a private clinic first, and the cost there was far beyond what I could manage each month. This service offered similar guidance at a more sensible price, and the consultations were conducted over the phone without my having to travel into town. I found the process of setting up my account slightly confusing at first, but the staff were patient when I rang them.

The meal planner tool

The meal planner tool is the bit I use most, it builds the week around the foods I already have in the cupboard. It saves me money on the weekly shop and cuts down on waste. Simple and does the job.

exactly what i needed for my mum

I needed something to help my mum keep track of her meals after her doctor asked us to watch her sugar more closely, and a friend suggested this service. The sign up was straightforward and the plan they put together was sensible, easy to follow and suited to someone who isn't keen on fuss. Her consultant has noticed the difference, which says a great deal to me.

A careful plan for my husband

My husband had a heart scare last year and we needed a plan that took his salt intake seriously without making every meal taste of cardboard. The dietitian consultation was thorough and unhurried, which I appreciated. The meals arrive well packed and labelled clearly, and he has actually stuck to it.

Needed a plan that fit my shifts

I needed something that would work around my shifts at the hospital, where I'm on nights half the time. I'd tried two other calorie apps and they were fiddly to log on my phone with my hands full. This one let me plan the week in one go and the meal planner tool just works. Signing up took about ten minutes and the plan arrived the same afternoon. Haven't had to rethink my food every week since.

Compared to the big apps

I tried the big calorie counting apps first and found them fiddly. This one has a simpler layout and the coaching messages are less preachy. The sign up took a while because I had to verify my email twice, but once I was in it was fine.

Does the job for the money

You get the consultation and the plan for what it costs, and the monthly charge is clear from the start with nothing hidden in the small print. I used it for three months. Good value for someone who wants a bit of structure without paying for extras.

Been using them for years

Been a customer for a good few years now, mostly for the meal plans. The plans have changed a bit over time and the recipes have got better rather than tired. Delivery has been reliable apart from one week when a box turned up a day late, which was annoying but got sorted without fuss.

the progress tracker sold me

The progress tracker was what made me go for it, because I could see my weight trend laid out week by week without having to log anything twice. I'd never stuck with anything before, but the reminders on the app are gentle enough that I actually kept going. Support answered my first question within a few hours, which I hadn't expected from a company this size.
