Tried a few meal kits

I tried three different meal kits before settling on this one, mostly because the protein-focused menu looked like what I needed for the gym. The chicken dishes are the best I've had from any of them. Sadly one box arrived with a sachet missing, and the customer team sent a replacement, though it took a few days to arrive.

better than the leaflet diet

I'll admit it compares very favourably to the commercial weight loss programme my daughter kept pressing on me last year. The recipes are sensible and the advice is not preachy, which I did not expect. My husband has taken to them too, and the customer team were helpful when I had a question about a substitution I wanted to make.

great until the bank charge

I've been with them a while and it has mostly worked well for us. The one hiccup was a payment that went through twice in one month, which the team sorted out but it took about a week of emails. Otherwise the boxes arrive on time and the meals are good value for what they are.

Better than the one I had before

It compares rather well with the meal plan I was using before, which was far too fussy about portions and rarely told me what was in the sauces. This one is more practical and the recipes make sense on paper and in the pan. I have recommended it to my sister, who has already placed her first order.

Pricier than the others

Compared with the other two plans I looked at, this one costs a fair bit more per week and I wasn't expecting that. The recipes are good and the calorie info is clear, but the portions felt a touch small for the money. Delivery was a day late the first time, which didn't help. I'd say it's fine if you don't mind paying for the convenience, but I've started looking at cheaper options again.

Sensible and well planned

It's the sensible one of the lot, and I say that as someone who has tried a fair few over the years. The meals are well balanced and I've not been left wanting more. The team were patient on the phone when I wanted to change my delivery day and I was thankful for that.

the menu variety

The first thing I noticed was how many different recipes they offer each week, which I hadn't seen elsewhere. I looked at a couple of other firms and they had far fewer options. The downside is the price, which is higher than what I was paying for a similar number of meals before. The food itself has been fine but I'm not sure I'd stay on it long term.

The best of the lot

This is the one I'd pick out of the meal kits I've tried, and I've tried a few. The ready meals are simple to reheat and the flavours are sensible rather than bland. Ordering took two minutes and the parcel turned up when it said it would. I'd happily stick with this one.

The high protein plan for my husband

I signed up for the high protein plan for my husband after his doctor mentioned his weight and muscle tone. The recipes are clear and the portions are sensible, and the customer service team answered my one question about allergens very promptly. It's been a steady help in our kitchen and I'm glad we chose it.

sorted my lunches out

Got the high protein box for the gym and it's honestly sorted my lunches out. Stuff tastes decent and it's easy to heat up in the work microwave. Delivery came when they said.

Needed something for uni

I needed something that would stop me living on toast during second year. I compared three different meal boxes before picking this one, mostly because the portions looked right for one person. So far it's been good and the meals reheat well.

decent but not cheap

It's a decent service and I've been a customer for a good while, so I know what it's like. The meals are tasty enough and the recipes are easy. Prices have crept up over the last year though, and I've started to wonder if I'd be better off doing my own shopping.

First box was lovely

Sure, my first box came and I was really impressed with how fresh everything was. The instructions were clear and the meals tasted home-cooked. I'm planning to keep going with it for the next month to see how it goes.

Been using them for years

I started with them after my GP suggested cutting back on processed food and I've been a customer for about six years now. The meal plans still feel fresh and the site makes it easy to skip a week when we're away. Ordering is quick and the boxes arrive when they said they would, usually first thing.

Been using them for ages

I've been ordering from them for a long time now, since my wife started cutting back on sugar. The meals are reliable and the portions are fair. A couple of the recipes have got a bit repetitive lately though.

Easy to pause my plan

What I valued most was being able to pause my plan when we went away without any fuss at all. The account page is straightforward and I restarted it with a couple of clicks when we got back.

The 7 day nutrition plan

I bought the seven day nutrition plan after looking at a couple of other meal kit firms and this one had clearer calorie info on each recipe. I went with it mostly because it listed protein per portion, which the others didn't. The first delivery came with everything labelled and the instructions were easy to follow even with my limited cooking skills.

Sign up was a bit fiddly

I have been a customer for around two years now and it has been a steady part of my week. The one thing I'd flag is that signing up to a new plan took a few goes, as the site kept logging me out before I'd finished choosing my meals. Once I was in, though, the boxes have arrived on time and the recipes are still interesting.

Not as good as the other one

Compared with the other plan I'd been trying, this one left me disappointed. I thought the portions were smaller than described and I had to add my own carbs to feel full. I also found the site hard to navigate when I wanted to skip a delivery week, so I ended up ringing up to sort it.
