The hot tub was the first thing I noticed on the photos, and it turned out to be the reason we picked this over the other places we looked at. We had checked three or four other cottages in the same area. Prices were similar but the reviews here were more detailed. The tub was a bit slow to heat up on our first night.

Went for the self catering package to save money on the usual hotels. The price was fair and the booking was simple enough. The kitchen was smaller than the photos suggested and the washing machine was temperamental. For the money it was decent though, and we got plenty of walking in.

First time using them and I was pleasantly reassured by how clear the check in details were. The cabin had a proper wood burner and the hot tub was the highlight. Only downside was the parking is a bit of a walk from the cabin, carrying bags took a while.

We needed a quiet place to recover after my husband's operation, so a calm break in the countryside seemed right. The booking went through without trouble. The lodge was clean but the heating took a while to come on, and I did wish the instructions had been clearer.
