Africa Safari Trips

The hot air balloon over the Mara at sunrise was the highlight, honestly worth the early alarm. Booking was fine but the confirmation email got stuck in spam so I had to ask for it again. Food at the camp was decent.

Booked the Rwanda gorilla trekking add on and the permit was included in the package price. I'd already done two trips in Uganda so I knew what to look for. The lodge was slightly further from the park than the brochure suggested, which made for an early start.

Looked at a tour through a big agency first and this was way cheaper for what you actually get, the lodge was nicer and the group was small. Booked through the site, paid in two bits and got a reply to my questions within a few hours. The safari drive in Kenya was amazing and the driver was really friendly, we even saw a leopard on the second morning.

We needed something special for our 10th anniversary and wanted a proper safari rather than a zoo day out, so we looked at a few companies before settling on these. The booking form was simple and the consultant rang back the same afternoon to talk through lodges in the Serengeti versus Botswana. Prices were a touch higher than a couple of the bigger names but the itinerary felt more personal. Would happily book again.

Having done several safaris in southern Africa this is the best value I have found for a mid range trip, and the guide in Botswana knew the wildlife inside out. The itinerary matched what was agreed, the transfers were on time and the mokoro ride on the Okavango was the highlight. Accommodation was tented but well kept with proper hot showers. Communication before departure was clear and quick to answer. Would book again without thinking twice.

I would say the booking itself was straightforward enough, though the confirmation for our Tanzania trip took a good few days to arrive and I had to chase it by email. Once everything was sorted the itinerary was clear and the lodges were as described. It was a shame the transfer details came through so late, which left us fretting a little before we flew.

The guide in the Mara knew exactly where to look and spotted a leopard in a tree before anyone else in the vehicle. We booked on the site in an evening, paid in one go and got a confirmation straight away. Everything after that just happened as planned, and I'm already thinking about the next one.

Compared with booking directly through a big UK tour firm, this was a fair bit cheaper for basically the same lodges in Tanzania. I paid a deposit online and the balance was taken closer to the date with no fuss. The driver met us on time at the airport and the Land Cruiser was clean and comfortable.

Booked the seven night Masai Mara and Amboseli package for the family, all in on one payment. The rate worked out well against what we were quoted elsewhere and the transfers from Nairobi were included, which saved us a fortune. Everything ran as listed.

Needed a quick last minute safari add on for my mate's wedding trip to Kenya and didn't want to spend a fortune. Quoted options were a bit all over the place but the team sorted it out in a day. Driver was sound and the camp was nice, the wifi was rubbish though.
