I've been borrowing from them on and off for about six years and the process has barely changed, which I actually like. The app shows you the balance and the next payment date before you even log in properly. Last spring I missed a payment by two days because of a bank holiday and rang them, and they sorted it out with a small payment plan without any fuss.
Read moreI have to say the service did not match what I was promised when I first enquired, and it took a fortnight before anyone got back to me. The outcome was eventually fine, but I was left chasing them several times. The price was also higher than I had been quoted at the outset. I would think twice before going back to them.
Read moreCompared with the big names I usually go to, this was noticeably cheaper for the same level of cover and the website made the comparison easy. I know this area well and I was sceptical at first. The sign up took a while because of a few verification steps, but once I was through, everything ran smoothly. The team answered my technical questions properly on the phone, which I appreciated. I would…
Read moreI went for the second option they offer after reading up on the first, and it has been reliable since I got it. The delivery came a day later than the tracking said, which was a bit annoying. Otherwise it's been good and the price was fair for what you get. I know this area well enough to say it's a decent pick.
Compared with the other one I was looking at, this came out a little cheaper and the set up was a bit more intuitive. I looked at four options before picking this and it was the only one where the instructions made sense first time. Delivery was fine though the box was a tad bigger than I needed. Happy enough with it.
I applied on a Tuesday afternoon and the money was in my account by the Thursday morning, which I didn't expect at all. The application itself took me a good while because they wanted quite a few bank statements uploaded, and the upload kept timing out on my laptop so I had to do it in pieces. Once it was done though the decision came back fairly quickly and the repayment dates were laid out clearly on the page.
If you need a small amount for a few months this does the job fine. I've used short term lenders before and the application here is about as quick as they come, the bank details step is clear. The only niggle is the interest is on the higher side compared with a credit union, so I'd check that first. Money arrived the same day I was approved.
