We had a team event coming up and needed a load of wine sorted quickly, so I ended up ordering from here. I was rushing between meetings and needed it to arrive before Friday. It did, and it came with everything I'd asked for. The tasting notes helped me pick a decent spread without having to think too hard. The team liked it and I didn't have to chase anyone. Good to have sorted.
Read moreHonestly I've been ordering from them for years and this time was a letdown. The bottle of gin I wanted was listed as in stock, then my order got cancelled two days later with an email saying it was out. I had to go back to the site and start again, and the replacement took another week to turn up. I used to just reorder without thinking but I'm not sure I will now, the service has slipped.
Read moreI needed something special for my husband's fiftieth and wanted a decent whisky rather than the usual supermarket bottle. I've been ordering from them for years, mostly for gifts. This time I went for a single malt from their rare casks section and it arrived beautifully presented. He was thrilled and the whole thing went without a fuss. The gift message option worked well too. I'll keep coming…
Read moreThe detail I noticed first was how much information was printed on the bottle labels and on the site, the vintage, the grape mix and the region. I know my wines reasonably well and the info matched what was in the glass. One bottle arrived with a chipped cork edge though, and I had to message them about it. The reply took two days to come back. The wine itself was decent.
