Quicker than the other app

Quicker to order from than the other app I was using, the checkout took about a minute. Delivery arrived in the window and the stuff was all there. Happy with it.

Quicker than the other app

Quicker than the other app I used, the basket saves between orders so I just tap through. Only niggle is the delivery fee is charged even when I order a small amount. Otherwise sorted.

the delivery window stood out

What struck me most was how precisely the delivery window was kept, with the driver arriving within the half hour they had given. I had booked a slot for a Thursday morning and everything arrived in good order, the chilled items still cold. The substitutions were sensible and the order was packed with some care. I've been ordering this way for a few years now and it has been a real help since my husband's mobility got worse.

needed food for a party

I needed loads of food for a flat party at short notice and didn't have time to go round three shops. Ordered online the night before, picked a slot, and it was all sorted in ten minutes. The party platters were fresh and everyone was impressed with the crisps and dips I got. Delivery came in the morning as promised and the driver rang before he got to the door. Would definitely go back for the next big night.

Ordered a big online food shop

Ordered my usual online shop with a bag of frozen peas, a rotisserie chicken and some Greek yoghurt. Everything was in the bags and the chicken was still warm, which I didn't expect. Checkout was quick and the driver was polite.

prices a bit high

They are fine for the basics but the prices on most things are a bit higher than the discount supermarkets down the road. I checked a pack of mince and a few tins against the other places and this was pricier across the board. The delivery was on time and the substitutions were reasonable. Clubcard prices help a bit, but I'd only use it for the top-up shop and not the full weekly one.

Needed a quick meal

I needed something quick to feed the kids after a long day at work, so I went for the ready meals. Looked at a couple of other places first and the prices were about the same, though the choice here felt smaller. The chicken curry was fine but a bit too salty for my liking. Delivery was late by twenty minutes, which made it a bit stressful.

Been shopping here for years

Been using them for the big weekly shop for about eleven years now and I wouldn't really switch. The app remembers my usual list which saves loads of time, and the substitutions are mostly sensible. Only gripe is the queue for slots at weekends can be a bit mad, so I plan ahead.

needed gluten free stuff quickly

My daughter was diagnosed with coeliac disease last spring so I needed a proper gluten free range I could trust without reading every label twice. The filter in the app brings up the free from aisle and the own brand gluten free bread is decent. Their substitutions have never once put in something with wheat, which is what I was worried about most.

The drivers always text ahead

What I notice most is that the driver texts when they're five stops away, so I know to get the door. Has happened every time for the last few years. The bags are packed sensibly with the cold stuff kept together, and nothing has been crushed or missing.

Cheap bread and milk

Got a loaf of the basic white and four pints of semi skimmed, mostly because the price was lower than the other big online shop I checked. The bread arrived a bit squashed on one corner but it's still fine for toast. Would order the milk again for sure.

Best of the big ones

They're the best of the big supermarkets for me once I'd compared a few. The own brand range is good and the Clubcard prices made my weekly shop noticeably cheaper than last time. The website is easy to navigate and I like that I can see the unit prices. Staff at the local branch are helpful when you can't find something.

Great for a quick shop

Best for a quick shop when you're in a rush, I grabbed some salad, a pack of chicken and a drink in five minutes. The self scan was quick and the staff were on it. Prices were reasonable and the delivery slot I picked was on time. Would use again.

bought a meal deal

Grabbed a meal deal on the way to work, a sandwich, crisps and a drink, and it was spot on for the price. Staff were quick and the sandwich was fresh. Would get it again.

Cheaper than the other big one

Compared with the other big online supermarket they're a bit cheaper on the everyday stuff like milk and bread. Been using them for ages and the delivery is pretty much always on time. Only niggle is the app doesn't always show the right stock levels before you check out.

Way better than deliveroo

Compared to ordering from Deliveroo this is so much cheaper for the same kind of thing. Got a big online order in for the flatshare, a load of snacks and some Clubcard deals I didn't even know about. Driver was really nice and the bags were all in one piece which I wasn't expecting tbh. Will be doing this every week now.

Needed a shop fast

We needed a food shop delivered quickly after being stuck in hospital with my dad for two nights, so I went online at midnight. Found a slot for the next morning and the whole thing was simple to set up. Everything arrived and the driver was patient with the bags.

Cheap fruit and veg

The fruit and veg section is the bit I always check first, and it's usually good value compared to the bigger stores. I bought a bag of apples and a few pears for the kids and they lasted well. Had a delivery where a couple of items were substituted without asking, which was annoying. Otherwise it's a solid choice for the weekly shop.

bought a clubcard price bundle

I bought a multipack of their own brand coffee pods and a bag of basmati, both on the clubcard prices shown in the app. The coffee pods are the same blend I was getting elsewhere and taste fine, though the basmati came slightly broken in places. Easy to ask for a refund on the rice through the app, which I did, and it came through the next day.

The substitution messages were a surprise

I didn't expect the app to tell me so clearly when items were out of stock, with a suggested swap next to each one. I'd ordered oat milk and it swapped to a different brand, which was fine. The slot I booked did shift by about twenty minutes on the day though, so I was waiting around a bit.
