Spice Kitchen

Needed it for a big batch of chilli for the church do, so I wanted something cheap by the kilo. The price per kilo is fair but the postage eats into it on a small order. Delivery took a week longer than the site said. Spices are fine.

Ordered the tikka masala spice kit on Tuesday and it turned up Thursday, all the little sachets sealed and labelled. Quick check on the site first to see what was in it. The sauce base is smooth and doesn't need much tinkering, so dinner was done in under half an hour, which is what I needed on a school night.

I ordered the garam masala and a jar of the mango chutney from the site last month and both arrived in good order. The spice is fragrant and fresh, just as I'd hoped, and it has made my Sunday curries very pleasant indeed. Would certainly order again.

The chilli oil is great, honestly. Got a bottle when it was on offer and put it on everything for a week. Tastes proper, not just heat. Will buy again.

Compared with the big name curry kits, these work out a bit cheaper per gram once you account for the amount in each pack. The quality is comparable and the bases are easy to use. Ordered on Tuesday and it came Thursday, which suits me.

Compared it with the tikka masala kits in my local supermarket and with a couple of other online spice boxes, and this came out ahead. The flavour is much deeper and the sauce thickens nicely without much fuss. It's a bit dearer than the big brands but the difference in taste makes it worth it for a weeknight dinner.

Really happy with my first order, the spice blends are properly fragrant and the recipe cards in the box are easy to follow. Delivery was a day later than the site said which was a small annoyance, but the packaging kept everything fresh. I'll be back for the biryani mix.

Way better than the cheap stuff I was buying before, the cumin actually smells of something. Tried a couple of other sites first and this one was the winner for me. Quick order, nothing to complain about.

The first thing I noticed was the pack sizes, which are actually sensible, not so big that half goes stale. I'd looked at two other online spice shops and a supermarket range before ordering here, and the spices in the pack smell fresher than the others. The mixed spice blend I bought is lovely in cakes and porridge. Delivery was on time. Good value too once I did the sums.

The sauce is excellent, really rich and balanced, and it has become a favourite in our house. I was a bit doubtful about buying online but everything arrived safely and on schedule. Will definitely be ordering the tikka base again when we run out.

I needed a gift quickly for my flatmate who loves cooking, and this spice set was perfect. Ordered it the night before my friend's birthday and it still came in time, which was a relief. The box looked lovely and the spices smell amazing, she was really chuffed with it.

Compared with the one I usually get from the big chain, this is much more flavourful and the chilli kick is proper. The only thing that let it down a bit is that the checkout kept timing out on my phone the first time, so I had to go back in. Once it went through it came quickly and the spices are good.

I tried three different brands of tikka paste before settling on this one from the site, and it's the only one my husband will eat without complaint. The smoky flavour is the best of the bunch and the jar was easy to use. Delivery was smooth and the box was in perfect condition.

I've been ordering from this company for years now, mainly the sambar powder and the dal mixes that my daughter has come to love. The first thing I bought was a mixed box, and I still reorder it every couple of months. Delivery has always been dependable, the boxes come well packed in a sturdy card, and the spices keep their flavour right to the end of the jar. I've told a few friends in the village about them.

I needed a decent curry paste for a family lunch and a friend recommended this company. The order was simple to place on the site and the paste arrived in good time. The flavour is rich without being overpowering, which is just what I wanted for the occasion.

The blends here are the real deal, the garam masala has a warmth that most shop bought ones lack. I cook Indian food most weeks so I know my spices. Everything I've tried has been consistent.

Needed something quick for tea after a long shift and the ready-to-cook curry bases saved me. Only thing is the jar lid was a bit stiff to open first time. Taste is great though.

What struck me most was how clearly the heat levels were marked on each jar, which made choosing for my wife and me very straightforward. The korma paste is mild and creamy, exactly as described. A sensible product from a company that clearly knows its business.

The mango chutney is brilliant, sweet but with a proper bit of sharpness at the end. Got it on the bus so typing this quickly. Jar arrived in one piece and the lid was tight. Would get it again.
