What struck me most was the recipe cards, they are printed in a proper large font which I appreciate at my age. The ingredients come pre portioned so there's very little waste, and I've found the fish pie a real favourite. The customer team answered my question about a substitution within a day, which I thought was very civil of them.
Read moreI bought the vegetarian box for my wife and I, and the recipes were perfectly fine once we got to cooking. The trouble was the delivery, which came a full day after the date shown on the site. I did get a message from their team but it took three days to reply to my question about it. The meals themselves were good, though the box was a little dearer than I had hoped.
Read moreI have used this service for a long time and generally like it. This time the box was missing one of the sauce sachets, and it took a few days for the customer team to sort out a replacement. The recipes were good and the meat was fresh, but I expected better after the years I have been a customer. A fair bit of the packaging is plastic which I was not keen on.
Read moreCompared to buying the same ingredients from the local shop, this comes out a bit cheaper once you count the waste. It is not the cheapest kit around though, and the price per portion is a little on the high side. The meals are filling and the ingredients are fresh. Delivery was on the day and the checkout was simple enough.
Tried it against two other recipe box sites before picking this one. Ended up cheaper per meal than the others, and the portions were fine for me. The checkout was a bit slow on my phone but it got there. Delivery was on time. Would order again.
Got a box to try after seeing an advert. Recipes were easy and the meals were fine, though the coriander I got was a bit wilted. Sign-up was simple enough. Would try another box.
Compared with the two other meal kit sites I looked at, this one costs a little more per portion. The extra spend got me better quality veg and clearer recipe cards. Delivery was on the day and the box was well packed. Ordering was easy, though the discount code took me a couple of tries to apply.
I needed something to stop me eating chips every night after my shifts changed, so I signed up for a trial box. Signing up took a few goes because the postcode field kept rejecting my address. Once it was sorted the box came next day and the recipes are simple enough. Pricier per portion than the big supermarket but fine for now.
I have been ordering from them for about six years now and it is still my go-to for weeknight dinners. The recipes have got a bit repetitive lately, which is why I have dropped a star. Packaging is still good and deliveries have been reliable. Customer service picked up a missing item quickly when I asked.
