Reliable for my office machine

I needed a reliable bean supply for the office machine, and this company has been doing the job for about three years. The medium roast is consistent and nobody has complained in a while. The price went up a little at the start of the year which I noticed, but the quality is still there. Regular order every month.

Ethiopian filter beans

Bought the Ethiopian filter beans, the 250g bag, to try in my V60. Came well packed and the bag was still warm from the roast date stamp. Brew came out bright and floral, exactly what I wanted.

Needed beans for the new grinder

I needed something suitable for the new grinder my daughter bought me, and the blend recommended on the site turned out to be spot on. The beans are fresh and the brew is full without being bitter. The order arrived when I was told. Pleased with it.

Good beans but the wait got me

I've been buying from them for about four years, so I know the beans are good and the flavour hasn't changed. This time though my order sat in the warehouse a couple of extra days and the tracking didn't update, so I was ringing round to check. The support email took nearly three days to reply. The coffee itself was as nice as ever, but I'd like the dispatch to be a bit quicker.

first order was a bit slow

Bought the Colombian beans as a first order and the flavour is smooth and chocolatey, which I was pleased with. The site asked me to create an account before checkout which slowed things down a bit. Delivery was fine after that and the bag arrived in good nick.

The coffee is really good

The coffee is really good, and I'd say it's the best I've had from an online roaster so far. I tried the washed Kenya and it had this bright blackcurrant note that I wasn't expecting. Ordering was simple and the bag arrived well packed. Going to get the second one soon.

compared a few options first

I needed a bean for my pour over and I compared a few online roasters before picking this one. The light roast is clean and floral and the descriptions were accurate about what I'd taste. Ordering was smooth and it arrived in four days. Happy with it.

ordered a decaf blend

I ordered a decaf blend for my wife, who can't have caffeine after her operation. The beans were fine and the grind was what I asked for, though the delivery turned up a day after the date I'd been given. Customer service did sort it out when I wrote in, so no real complaint.

Better than the usual espresso

Set against the usual espresso beans from the big supermarket, this one has a rounder body and less of that burnt edge. I've been roasting my own for years so I know what to look for. The beans came in good condition and the roast date was clear on the bag. Good stuff.

Bought the house blend beans

Ordered the house blend beans on Tuesday and they arrived Thursday, bag was still sealed and smelt lovely when I opened it. Grinding them for the cafetiere this morning and it's already the best cup I've had at home. Will be reordering before the week's out, cheers.

decent beans, bit pricey

Decent beans, tastes good in the aeropress. Bit pricey compared to other online roasters I've looked at, but I'm happy to pay for the flavour. Delivery was quick and the bag was fine. Order was dead easy on my phone, no complaints.

needed a decent espresso blend

We needed a decent espresso blend after our old roaster shut down in the village, and I've been ordering from this company for going on six years now. The dark roast is still consistent bag to bag, which is what matters to me. Staff answered my questions about grind settings promptly when I rang them. Happy customer.

lovely tasting notes and quick post

The tasting notes printed on the bag were the first thing I noticed, and they were quite accurate, which pleased me. The beans came promptly through the post and were well packed. I do find the website a little fiddly to navigate, but once I'd found what I wanted it was all very straightforward. A pleasant experience, thank you.

not as good as the local roaster

Compared to the local roaster in town, this was a bit of a letdown. The beans came stale-ish and the flavour was flat compared to what I get from the independent place for about the same money. Ordering was quick on my phone but I'm not sure I'll bother again.

Better than the big chain brand

Compared with the big chain brand I used to buy, this is far more interesting in the cup, with a proper fruity acidity. The beans were bagged up nicely and arrived in a few days. Ordering was easy and I like that I can pick the grind myself.

tried a few before this one

I tried a few different roasters before settling on this one, and the mocha blend beat the supermarket options I'd been using. The grind is even and the chocolate notes come through without being sweet. Ordering took two minutes on the laptop. Great coffee.

Took ages to find a grind

The subscription option is what grabbed me first, you can skip a delivery in the app without ringing anyone which is handy. I'd never bought beans online before so I wasn't sure what grind to pick. The filter section of the site explained it well enough and I went with medium. The bag turned up on the Saturday and the beans were properly fresh, nice dark chocolate taste.

good beans for the money

Good beans for the money, I'd say that's the verdict. The Ethiopian single origin is a fair bit cheaper per bag than the big name brand I was buying in the supermarket, and it tastes brighter with the filter machine. The site was easy to order from, though the delivery took a day longer than the tracking said. Would order again.

Cheaper per cup than the cafe

Quite a lot cheaper per cup than buying from the cafe on my commute, and the beans are good enough that I don't miss the flat white. Delivery is quick and the bag stays fresh for weeks. Easy to order from the app. Would get it again.
