The sourdough is the reason

Ordered the sourdough loaf from the site on a whim and it was the reason I kept coming back. Arrived still warm-ish in the insulated bag, crust was properly crackly, and the note inside said when it was baked. I've been on a bread subscription before and this beats it. Ordering again this weekend.

Proper butchers quality

The sausages were the piece I was most keen to try, and they have real texture with a decent coarse grind. Know a fair bit about meat, and the fat content is right, not too greasy when they hit the pan. Packaging kept everything chilled and the cool box was in good nick.

The rhubarb is spot on

We wanted decent forced rhubarb for the crumble and this was the answer after a bit of searching. Know the stuff well from the allotment, and theirs is properly pink and tender with no stringiness, which is exactly what I'd want. Stalks were straight and blemish free, packed in newspaper which I appreciated. They also had the early season strawberries on, which made a nice pudding. Will be ordering the rhubarb again next spring when it comes back into season.

Tried a few boxes before this

Tried a few other veg box services before settling on this one, and the difference is the seasonal sourcing, the carrots and leeks actually taste of the season. The customer team sorted a missing item within a day when I emailed. Packing was tidy and everything was cold where it needed to be.

Better than the supermarket

Way better than the supermarket delivery I was using before, the herbs actually last more than a day. Ordered on the app and it was easy. Would get it again.

Quick and good

Would order again, the box turned up on the day they said and everything in it was fresh. Had to chase a substitution email once but they sorted it the same afternoon, no fuss. Ordering on the app took about two minutes which is all I need when I'm running between meetings and the kids' football.

Proper forced rhubarb

The stems are that bright pink colour you only get with forced rhubarb, and they cut clean with no stringiness. I've bought rhubarb from three other places this spring and this is the one I'll stick with. Packed well too, not a single stem bruised in the box.

Sausages are the real deal

Got the pork and leek sausages and they've got proper texture, the grind is coarse like a proper butcher's. Ordered from my phone during my lunch break and it took a minute. Fast delivery, packed in a cool bag.

Needed a cheap weekly food top up

Needed something to stop me blowing my budget on takeaways, so I started a weekly order here. Pretty much everything I need is in the box and the veg lasts ages. Quick to set up on my phone, no faff at all.

First order, very impressed

Compared it with the big supermarket delivery and this was noticeably fresher, the salad leaves lasted most of the week in the fridge. First order so I wasn't sure what to expect, but the box was packed carefully and the ice packs were still cold. Signing up for the monthly top up.

Pricier but worth it

I looked at two other farm shops and a veg box before picking this, and it's a bit more per kilo than the others. The carrots had proper soil on them and tasted sweet, which is what made me stick with it. Delivery was a day later than the site said, which was the only thing I'd flag.

Best box for the money

We needed a regular weekly veg box after our last supplier kept sending wilted stuff. Compared three or four local options first and this one had the clearest pricing and a proper seasonal list. The potatoes arrived clean, carrots still had the tops on, and the swap option for things we don't eat has been really handy. Will keep ordering.

fine but not cheap

Their seasonal vegetable box is perfectly acceptable and the produce was in fair condition on arrival. Reasonably priced for organic, though I did find the same things at the local market for less. The delivery window was quite broad, which meant waiting in for most of the morning. Ordering the box was simple enough, and I did have to call once to change an item, which was a little tiresome.

Ordered the eggs for years

I've been ordering their free range eggs for about six years now and they've never let me down. This time the delivery was a day later than I was told, and I had to ring to check on it. The eggs themselves were in perfect shape and the yolks are a proper deep orange.

Good flour, bit pricey

Know my way around a bread bake and the flour they sell is genuinely good, higher protein than I expected and it behaves well. Worth the money for the quality but it's dearer than the mill shop down the road. Dispatch was quick.

The eggs are great

Free range eggs with yolks that actually stand up, which you notice on a fry up. The only annoyance was the delivery slot moved to the afternoon without much warning, so I had to rearrange my morning. Sorted it by phone in a few minutes though.

excellent produce, arrived in good order

I would say this is the finest veg delivery I have used in some time. The potatoes were clean, firm and free of any soft patches, which is more than I can say for some. Ordering was straightforward and I was able to adjust my box without any bother. I shall certainly continue with them.

Needed something reliable for the family

With two kids and a fussy partner we needed a veg box that wouldn't leave us with a fridge full of rotting stuff. Looked at a few others first, and this one let us pause and skip weeks without fuss. The recipe cards are a bit much but the produce is consistently good and the drivers have always been polite. Tomatoes actually taste of something.

tried a few places first

Before this I compared two farm shops and a veg box, and this was the one that came out ahead on freshness. Signing up was simple and the box turned up on the morning they said. The carrots had proper flavour and the leeks were clean with no grit. It's a bit more per kilo than the others, but we're not going back to the supermarket.
