Cheaper than the shop once you add it up

I was pretty sceptical about paying for prepared meals when I can cook, but I worked out that once you count the food waste and the time, it works out cheaper than the supermarket equivalents. I compared it with a couple of meal kits and this came out ahead on price. The deliveries have been on time every week and the boxes are sturdy enough to survive the back step in the rain.

been using the meals for four years

The chicken and rice pot is the one I keep coming back to, I've had it probably a hundred times. Four years in and the quality hasn't slipped, which is more than I can say for some of the others I tried. The team have been helpful whenever I've needed to change my delivery day.

Looked at a few before picking this

I needed a plan that would fit around an irregular work schedule, so I looked at a few before picking this one. Compared with the others it was the easiest to pause and restart without a phone call. The deliveries have been dependable so far.

tried three plans before this one

I needed a plan I could stick to with a shift pattern that changes every week. I looked at three others before picking this, mostly for the flexible pausing. Signing up was straightforward and I can skip weeks in the app without ringing anyone.

got the starter pack, it's alright

Got the starter pack to see if it'd help me cut back on the takeaways, which it sort of has. Food's tasty enough and the portions fill me up, though a couple of the breakfasts were a bit dry. Ordering was dead easy on the app and the box turned up when it said it would, so no complaints there.

Fair enough for what it is

Worth it if you're going to eat the lot, because it adds up quickly. Ordering took about five minutes and I liked being able to skip a week when I was away. Price is on the higher side compared with buying the same ingredients in a supermarket, so it's a trade off.

good for the money if you know your macros

Honestly this is one of the better meal plan services I've tried, and I've done a few over the years. The meals are properly balanced and the portions are sensible rather than tiny. The only thing I'd flag is that the weekly menu rotates slower than I'd like, so you can end up eating the same few dinners by week five.

First time trying a plan and it's been good

I needed something to get me out of the habit of grabbing chips every night after work, and a friend suggested this. Signing up took about five minutes and the starter plan was clear about what I'd be eating. The first box arrived on the day they said and I've felt more in control of my eating since.

Better than the gym app but pricey

Compared it to the free calorie counter on my phone and this is way more hands on, which is the point really. The food itself is decent but it's not cheap, and I'd have liked a cheaper option for weeks I'm skint. Delivery was fine, just a bit slow to arrive the first time round.

Nice food, bit pricey

ordered the starter box cos my mate said it was good. the food is actually tasty, the chicken one is my fave. delivery came on time and the box was fine. just a bit expensive for what you get in the end, so prob won't carry on past the month.

Better than the meal kits I tried before

I've tried a couple of meal kits in the past, and I'd say this is a more sensible option for someone who doesn't want to do the cooking. The portions suit me well and the nutritional panel is easy to read without my glasses. The arrangement for changing delivery days is simple and courteous.

Bought the veggie pack

Got the veggie pack and honestly the curries are better than I expected. Ordering was quick on the app and the box came in the morning like it said. Would get it again.

not worth the money for what you get

I needed something to help me lose weight after the doctor's warning, and this looked like a sensible option at first. The meals are small for the price and I was paying close to what I'd spend on a proper weekly shop. When I tried to pause a delivery the process was fiddly and it took a few goes before it went through.

my daughter set it up for me

My daughter found this for me after my hip operation, as I was finding it hard to cook properly. The lasagne in particular has been a real comfort, and the portion labels make it easy to keep an eye on what I'm eating. Ordering was arranged for me in the first instance, and the drivers have always been courteous and patient at the door. I'm very grateful for the care taken with the deliveries.

Way easier than meal prepping myself

Compared it to doing my own batch cooking on Sundays and this beats it hands down for the time saved. Ordering on my phone took about two minutes and the meals are actually nice. Would definitely go again.

Delivered the day after the reminder

The boxes turned up a day later than the site said they would, but a text came through with an update which was nice. Food was fine and the portions are generous enough for my husband and me at lunch. Bit of a faff reheating a few of them though.

The portions are smaller than the photos

The first thing I noticed was how neatly everything was labelled with the macros, which is exactly what I wanted after years of tracking by hand. The portions are a bit smaller than the photos on the site, so I added a side of veg most days. Service has been consistent for about eight months now and the customer team answered a question about a swap within a day. Price is a little high but I'd pay it again.

Sound plan and tidy service

This is a well run plan and I would say so to anyone asking. The meals are sensibly portioned and the nutritional information is clearly set out, which I appreciate. Ordering the first box was simple and the delivery arrived promptly.
