The fall detection is what made me go with them, and it's properly sensitive without going off every time my dad sits down hard in his chair. I've used a couple of these over the years for clients and this is the first one that doesn't set off false alarms every other day. The alarm button is easy to find by feel too, which matters with older hands. Set up took about ten minutes.
Read moreI purchased the alarm watch for my wife some weeks ago. The item was not quite as the pictures had suggested, the screen is smaller than I had expected and the strap feels rather flimsy. The support line was courteous but it took several days to get a reply about the strap. I would have expected a more accurate description.
Read moreCompared with the cheaper sets I've seen in the shops, this is dearer up front but the monitoring cost works out fair over the year. I've worked in care for a while so I know how much the alarm needs to be reliable. The button is positioned well and the fall detection has picked up test drops without false alarms. Signing up was straightforward and the monitoring team answered quickly when I rang.
Read moreGot one for my gran, she likes it and it does what it should. Took ages to get the sign up done though, kept getting sent back to the start. Eventually sorted.
The price is fair for what you get, and the monthly fee is lower than what my sister pays elsewhere. Getting the account sorted took nearly a week though, with a few emails back and forth before the watch was switched on. Once it was going the service has been fine and it does what it's meant to.
Honestly it does the job, my dad wears his every day and it's kept him safe. The booking for the monitoring took a bit longer than I'd like though, I was waiting nearly a week for someone to call back. Once it was sorted it was fine.
