Honestly this was my first time ordering from them and I'm glad I went for it. The site was easy to find my way round, I could filter by medium which saved me loads of scrolling, and the watercolour pads I got were lovely thick paper that didn't buckle when I wet it. Packed well too, nothing bent in the post. Will be back for the brushes I've had my eye on.
Read moreTook three days before anything shipped even though it said dispatched same day on the site. I'd looked at a couple of other art supply places first and they were quicker, though the paint itself was fine when it turned up and the price was about right.
Read moreGot into hand lettering and needed some proper fine liners. Didn't want to spend loads so I checked a couple of places. These were reasonable and the ink flows smooth on the cheap paper I practise on. Got them in a couple of days and the packaging was tidy. Great little set for a beginner, would happily get more.
Read moreOrdered a bottle of printmaking ink and a few rollers. The site was simple to order from on my phone, and the ink itself is good. The bottle had leaked a little inside the box so the outer sleeve was sticky. Customer service sorted a replacement quickly once I emailed, which was nice.
Compared this with a couple of other online art shops and it was a little more expensive for the same brand of gouache. The colours are rich and the tubes feel solid. Order arrived a day later than the site said, which was a small annoyance, but the paints were well wrapped.
I've used their cold press paper for years and always go back to it. This order was a block of the 300gsm, which is the one I always buy. The only thing I'd like is a slightly quicker dispatch, as it sat in the warehouse a day longer than I expected, but the paper is exactly as I remember.
Needed a decent lino block and cutters for a class project. Went with this as it was the only place that had the set I wanted in stock. Took a bit of fiddling to get the size right at checkout, but the block arrived fine.
Looked at four or five art supply sites before settling on this one. The range of gesso and mediums was much bigger than the others, and I liked being able to read reviews from other painters. The price was a little above the cheapest I found, but the bottles arrived sealed and well protected.
