The Great British Yarn

Compared it to the little independent shop in town I usually go to and this was about the same on quality but cheaper. First time ordering online for me so I was a bit nervous about getting the wrong weight, but the site lists the yarn weight and the fibre content clearly. The order came in a couple of days and everything was there. Would happily order again for my next project.

The Shetland I bought last winter is the one I still reach for, so I came back for more. Been ordering from them for about six years now and they have never let me down on the wool. Ordered a few balls for a shawl, the dye lots matched my earlier order perfectly. Delivery was prompt as usual.

I purchased the Shetland wool for a fair isle jumper and I was most pleased with it. The fibre is sturdy and takes dye beautifully, so the colours have come out well. Arrived in good order and I had no difficulties with the checkout.

Ordered my first lot of yarn here and the postage was quick, but the blue was a bit darker than the picture. It is still a nice wool and knits well. Shipping was fine, just the colour that I was not so keen on. I may try a different shade next time.

The tweed is lovely with real flecks of colour in it. Ordered three skeins for a cowl and the total came in under what I expected. Delivery was quick and the yarn was wound neatly. Would order again.

Really good yarn, the merino feels nice and soft and the colours are vivid. Ordered during a lunch break on my phone, the app kept my basket saved which was handy. Got a notification when it shipped and it turned up the next day. Will get the chunky version for my next jumper.

This is a good yarn for the price, I have been knitting with British wool for years and this holds its own. The DK is a bit thinner than I expected for the label but it still works well for baby blankets. The only niggle was that my order sat a day longer than the site said before it went out. Would order again.

I have knitted with a lot of British wool and this is among the better ones I have tried. The Aran has a nice halo and the stitch definition is good for cables. My only gripe is that postage added a fair bit to the total on a small order. Otherwise delivery was swift and everything was in order.
